Romantic and Friendship Changes in Neighborhood Stories have no effect

Every night when I check Neighbourhood stories I see pop ups about changes in relationships: friendly or romantic. For example, "Sim1 and Sim2 are now friends", or "Sim1 and Sim2 broke up". But it's just a pop up and doesn't actually affect the game!

There's one specific married couple from For Rent EP, Owen and Jilliana Sage, they "break up" in all my saves, sometimes multiple times, but if I go to their household, they're married and in love. The same stands for all the other relationship "changes" via NS.
