Roof disappearing when building

I'm trying to build a new house for my Sims and the roof keeps disappearing? I'm on the highest level the roof walls disappear and when I move onto lower levels and up again the whole thing is gone. 
I would attach pictures but since the roof literally disappeared it won't allow me to delete the roof. 
The attached image is how it looks when you try and put a new roof on top of the invisible one.

    1. is this with or without mods/cc ?
    2. Does it happen for any style roof ?
    3. What graphics settings are you playing on ?

    Hi there,
    It looks like you use 'walls down view'.
    Try to use 'walls up view' or 'walls cutaway view'. (The following picture is 'walls up view'.)


    Nevertheless you can't, report here again.
