[S] [LD] Sims dying from overheating in chilly weather (Mornignvale)

I’ve purchased the Life and Death pack, started to play with one of my sims and all of a sudden, while she was in Ravenwood nightclub, she died from overheating. That was strange because the temperature in that world is always chilly. But she’s a witch and I thought it was because she had used to much powers, so I didn’t bother too much.
But yesterday I transferred her sister in the household to play with her as well. She’s only human btw. They were at a party on the river shore and once again, all of a sudden, without notice, I get the notification that she’s overheating. I try to get her in the water (even tho it was raining and again it was chilly) but she was already dying. This time there was no reason at all for her to die like this and since I never had a sim dying from overheating before I got the new Pack, I guess it may be related.

  • Hi, I also just had this issue. Two sims started overheating in Mourningvale. Did anyone find a reason for this happening or is it a bug?

Did you also have any ghost Sims that died of overheating nearby ?

Do you see the issue only in Morningvale or other hoods/worlds too ? What does the weather info say ?

At the moment it seems a problem only there, yes.
the weather is always cloudy/rainy and chilly

So it's not a matter of the indication being wrong vs. the actual weather you observe ?

  • It might be because of a ghost(s) nearby... I've noticed my ghost (died by freezing) occasionally causes other sims to get really cold even if they are in winter clothes or heated indoors.  So there might be a ghost near your sim that died by overheating (or maybe fire) that are causing your sim to overheat.  Possibly.

It could be so but I’m not sure. The second time it happened while the already dead sister was around but my second sim had swimswear on and the weather was rainy and chilly, so..idk

Swimwear is not Hot Weather clothing, so it won't protect you from overheating. It's intended for moderate temperatures, just like all the other basegame outfit categories. However, that shouldn't be a problem if the weather was chilly.

  • Btw I’m noticing that also in other worlds (for example in Henford-on-Bagley) some of my sims get overheated for no reason (it’s autumn, it’s raining, it’s chilly and they are outside). In those cases I’m certain there are no ghosts of sims dead from overheat, so idk
