Hi friend. I'm having the same issue. The only work-around that I have found to work in the meantime is always doing "Save As" and renaming the save. I just delete the various old versions as I go so as to not end up with dozens of saves. I don't know why that works but it's allowed me to continue to play while we wait for a patch.
