I'm having the same problem. Never had any mods or custom content (CC) I've tried clearing my cache, repairing, and then downloaded an update that suddenly popped up..... But nothing has worked.
Save As does work but it's super annoying for me as I save often since my laptop likes to crash. Uhg....
