I have started having this error too today... The save as method works, but only once - I usually try to save my game every 30 minutes or so, and with this method, I'll have to save a new safe file every time I save, so it's not a long-term solution. I tried repairing, restarting, even tried with a different safe file, and with and without mods, always got the same result - I can save once in the safe file I opened originally, and then every time I want to save after, I have to save a separate new safe file...
