Screenshot causes game crash/freeze

After the last update, the game keeps blocking everytime I try to take a screenshot. Then I have to force a computer restart, because the game fully blocks everything.

Performance wise, it's also slower. I am tired of these updates that end up messing the game more than help its performance.

Does this happen to someone else? Any tips on how to circumvent?

This is an annoying crash bug, my game began showing as not responding randomly (in my mind until I saw this thread) and realised that both my crashes yesterday in my brand new save (post update) were because I was taking pictures using "c".  It's 4am Tuesday morning and Robin Banks is coming in and I take two photos and the game ends up freezing and my task manager states The Sims 4 not responding. I force close.

I relaunch the game and take no more photos (Robin didn't come back) until after school on Tuesday where my teenage sim is going to have first kiss - begin taking photos using "c" and get nine photos before it goes back to freezing and not responding. I force close and give up on the game and begin scrolling through the forums about crash bugs because of the update. Found this one, realised it might be what is happening to me.

I turned off all mods now, removed them from my game, I have gone back into the save and replayed the teenage sim's first kiss, I spam "c" when taking photos hoping to "catch" the moment, "not responding" after ten photos, it didn't even manage to catch the kiss.  Using a mixture of C and tab in quick succession as I normally take photos that way.

Restarted again, decided to just spam "c" and I got 40 photos moving around the apartment, tabbing and un-tabbing, then I got 18 photos of first kiss, before crashing while taking a photo after five hits of "c" with mess around.  It is going to be really hard not to hit take picture from now on to avoid this freezing issue.

Update 2 hours later - I have started a fresh save vanilla no mods, saw a weird graphic glitch and took a screenshot automatically to track it (I said it would be hard stop myself from hitting c) - game said took picture, did it again, The sims 4 not responding and no photos were generated in the photo folder - I have three notifications that I should have photos in the screenshot manager but they don't exist - only the photos from earlier today.  So it seems that even though the game said it generated a picture, "c" must not be working to capture all pictures which is why I didn't crash with the three notifications that a picture was taken because it didn't create a picture even though the game said it did.  I guess I "not responded" crashed when it decided to try take a picture.

puzzlezaddict​ I hope the EA team will be able to solve this problem in the nearest future. Many players, like me, actively screenshot their favorite game, and without this opportunity any desire to play simply disappears

I have the same problem. Doesn't matter where I take a screenshot, live mode, build buy or cas. Freezes game completely. I've added the DxDiag. Let me know if there is anything else you need.

Tried with and without mods. Tried in completely new game (removed Sims 4 folder). Still the same problem, the game immediately freezes when I hit the 'C' button. 

Probably was the old driver plus the Game-Update for me. Or maybe only the driver because the new version came out so close to the Game-Update.

Since I updated the graphics driver 3 days ago I didn't have the issue again. But I will tell you if it comes up again.

I had the issue in all of my saves and I played since then, so I don't know if I could provide one but I will look in to it.
