I WAS ABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO UPLOAD BUILDS TO THE GALLERY!!!
ISSUE:
Received “Server error. We could not process this gallery request. Please try again later.” when trying to upload builds to the gallery since 07/21/2025. (with/out CC and/or mods, on/offline. old backups/ new saves, DLC/no DLC.. Nothing worked!! However, I was still able to upload sim households with/out CC) .
SOLUTION:
1. Go to C:\Users\Documents\Electronic Arts\. You should see a folder labeled The Sims 4
2. Rename that folder to The Sims 4_backup and move it to the desktop or a place you can quickly access.
Now your Electronics Art folder should be EMPTY.
3. Repair Game by going to EA APP > The Sims 4 > Manage > Repair
4. WITHOUT ADDING ANY FILES, load the game and start a new one.
5. Once your sim is loaded into their home, go to the world map screen > find an unoccupied lot (any world) > select BUILD
6. Go to the gallery and find a RESIDENTIAL LOT (preferably with 1-3 packs, but base game is fine also!) and load.
7. Once loaded, save to the gallery. Check the gallery to see if the build is there.
IF THAT WORKS…… WITHOUT EXITING OR SAVING THE GAME……..!!!!!!
8. Navigate to your folder from earlier named The Sims 4_backup
9. Open up your NEW The Sims 4 save file folder. Copy and paste 1 OR 2 save files, NOT THE WHOLE FOLDER! from the Sims 4_backup to the new The Sims 4 save file folder.
I suggest using your MOST RECENT save and a backup from when you notice the problem or the past 1–3 months.
EXAMPLE:
Most recent save:
Slot_00000888.save, Slot_00000888.save.ver0,
Slot_00000888.save.ver1 Slot_00000888.save.ver 2, and etc
Another/ Old save
Slot_10000123..save, Slot_10000123.save.ver0,
Slot_10000123.save.ver1, Slot_10000123.save.ver 2, etc.
10. IN-GAME.. Exit to Main Menu > Select Load Game> Choose your oldest save file and repeat the steps of loading a lot (this time try one you have built/ decorated. NO EA homes!) If that works…
11. Go back to the main menu and select your most recent save file (the one that gave you the issues) and repeat the same steps with the original lot you wanted to load.
If you can upload it now, YAYYY!😁
12. EXIT GAME (without saving)
13. NAVIGATE TO YOUR Sims 4_backup AND Sims 4 folders!
14. WITHOUT DELETING OR REPLACING!!! DRAG AND DROP ALL TRAY FILES! (NOT FOLDER!!) FROM BACKUP TO THE NEW FOLDER.
15. Clear your cache and reload the game. Open the save file of your choice and try to upload your build again. (if prompted to overwrite.. Select Save New) and boom :)
16. You can begin adding your Events, game config, options, user settings, etc, back in to restore your original settings.
DO NOT DELETE NEW SAVE FOLDER! Drag and drop the same as the tray files!
