Ok, I had that now too and I took screenshots. For me it mainly seems to happen for this one particular beard and only when the beard is grey.
This is the error message I get when I enter the household from Manage Households:
You can see that the beard is still there in the selection and it even shows as selected, but the Sim clearly doesn't have it:
When I click on another beard and back on this one, basically re-selecting it, it shows again:
When I save the household after that it also shows again in the overview of the household:
But as I soon as I'm in the game again, it's gone again.
