Why... SOMETIMES... not all the time... ever since the August update that added pack selection to the game there has a been an issue at times when loading the game up that some hair styles have annoy...

Try updating your drivers although it's gone now and hopefully it won't come back.
I did update the drivers and it's still the same thing. It doesn't matter which Sim, certain Maxis hairstyles (some from the base game and some from EP's) have this problem and it again started with the August update when they added the pack selection option.
And again, sometimes it appears when you load up the game and sometimes it doesn't. I've also seen it where it doesn't have it when the game loads up, but later on as you have the game on for hours, it glitch shows up again. And also it will change color depending on the hair color you select.
This is a Maxis problem when this used to never be a problem before that August update. This screenshot is from after updating my drivers.
Could you post a list of all hairstyles that have the issue for you ?
Someone else was having a similar issue with another hair and I couldn't duplicate this so could you upload the Sim that has the issue to the gallery ?
