Severe lag on PS4 makes ts4 unplayable

I have all current dlc for the sims 4 on ps4 and the lag is so bad that it makes the game basically impossible to play. This has supposedly been fixed but I have seen absolutely no improvement. This needs to be fixed asap.

It’s like this on the XBOX One & X too sadly. I have an ample amount of space on both

Really bad lag on console usually means there's too much stuff in the game as a whole. Sims on consoles only has 10 save slots as default unfortunately, it doesn't matter how much space you have on your consoles hard drive. If you're using all ten saves and have big families and houses it really bloats the game and causes bad lag, as soon as you press x to start it's got to load up everything, every item, every sim in every save even it you're not playing them. I'm on ps4 also and have been in your shoes I couldn't get past the manage worlds screen to load my family cause the lag was mental but I "cleaned up" my game and no longer experience lag. Things I did/still do that I recommend is deleting old saves you no longer play/care about (I had saves 10 originally and deleted 7) deleting randomly generated sims from the other household tab in manage households on all save files as every pack you buy adds more random Townies to the game, keeping the household inventory and personal sim inventory to a minimum and loading rather than resume and hovering over all the families in the world till their pics load in, including your own household really helped my game run well and I don't do anything in my game when I first load in until my console fan has quitened down. You don't have to do some of the steps I was a bit drastic cause it was annoying me so much but I do highly recommend a game clean up, it really does help 😁

Same here on Xbox. It is like too many things try to open/front load when opening the game. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled three times. It hasn’t worked all day today.

I think it more has to do with the fact that they put up all those pop-up advertisements for the new expansion as well as the new kids and now the upcoming event that they’re having in a week. And also the SIM delivery comes through when it first opens up. Because it won’t even go past the little plum going across the bottom of the screen and if it does, it just freezes on the main page. I play vanilla with no cheats and no mods because I’m on Xbox and I would like to get achievements. I also don’t have very many save files. I think this is on the side of EA.

Urgh endless loading is so annoying 😩I've seen that there's a few bugs on Xbox specifically that sounds like what you're experiencing with endless loading and freezing menu, you might be experiencing the bug for freezing/not loading after splash ad pop ups. In the bug reports there's one for Frozen game/menu after ad and theres also one for XB/PS crashing after update that includes endless loading issues that might help too. If you manage to get back into your game you can adjust the way Sims deliveries come through so it won't pop up on start up 🙂

trying to find those posts and I can’t find solutions or those posts. I hate to ask you to do the research for me. But forums are impossible for me, and I don’t have anything but my phone (no computer). Could you link what you’re referring to?
