sim won't water plants in either oversized garden, planter boxes, or garden pots

Whenever I try to water all plants (with having a level 10 gardening skill), it won't water the regular plants (i.e., plants that are not oversized) no matter if they are in the oversized garden spaces, planter boxes, or garden pots. It worked maybe once or twice since starting the gardening skill. This is happening on my MacBook but I've seen players with Windows experience the same issues. Please fix it! I love gardening. I (along with thousands of other players) would appreciate the hasty resolution!
