I had this problem earlier on my PC. My sims were on vacation and they stuck in the upstairs bedroom and the ensuite bathroom. They would not walk out of the bedroom, and refused to use any items outside of that room and bathroom, also saying they could not get there. Nothing was blocking them, and I reset them multiple times. they had no problem using the items they were already using, like the shower and the bed, but they would not leave that room. Once I switched lots it was fixed for the time being.
Was this in Tartosa? Because one of the houses is kinda messed up and you'll have to change it to be able to leave the bedroom. Or teleport.
