It seems to me that the way forward is to revert the eyes back to how they were before the Lovestruck patch, and then figure out how to fit the new eyelashes to the eyes as they were. I seriously hope that they have been reviewing all of the information provided in the archived thread (https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-bug-reports-archive-en/open-eyeseyelids-issues-patch-1-110-2652-01/11719135) and are working actively to fix this issue. It has been over 6 months since I have been able to play with my legacy sims because their faces look distorted with the eye shape change.
