Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

I am also having this issue. I noticed it specifically with toilets and bookcases. I will queue up using the toilet and it keeps automatically cancelling. It doesn't show the 'I can't get there' or anything, just cancels. I tried moving the toilet around and same issue, eventually it works if I try queueing it up 3-5 times. 

Also, I tried using 'read something from multiple bookcases and it either cancelled automatically or it would sometimes have the 'I can't get there' even after moving the book case around so that there was nothing around it and moveobjects wasn't on.
