Just some extra information:
This morning, I started a brand new family.. the 'Tester' family, with Jacob, Helena and Ashton Tester as triplet toddlers. They are in a different house to the family I was playing that was having the issue, and aside from the issue with reading to the toddler (a known issue), I am unable to recreate the glitch.
The game that is having the issue was started in late 2024, and I have just completed the Legacy Leader achievement (before now going back to playing just one family throughout their whole lifespans), so there is a lot of data. I might make some changes to it, eg marking some of the families as NPC, cleaning up files, and see if the issue still exists. Stay tuned.
I switched to playing a different family in the same save, and the issue was not there.
Went back to playing the family I want to continue to 100 generations, and it now seems fine. Let's see if it continues this way.
Nope, still happening on occasion. Played for a few irl days, now there's another toddler in the house, it has been working fine for about 4 sim days of the toddler's life, and now actions are queuing and clearing before being performed again 😝Switched to another Sim family in another town, played for a while, switched back (like I did before), but it didn't work this time.
