Sims won't stay in bed

I have one plantsim and one glitched plantsim/normal sim (unrelated problem) and neither will sleep. No radio, lights anything. I'm playing with just the base game, no mods or packs. It's a room in an EA build, but none of the other beds in the house work either. It goes like this:
Send sim to bed. Sim goes to bed. Sleeps 5 in-game minutes. Wakes up. So naturally, I cue a whole bunch of 'sleep' interactions. Sim gets in bed. Sleeps 5 minutes. Wakes up for a second and goes back to bed. Repeat. Wakes up and crawls across the bed to the other side. Falls asleep for 5 minutes. Wakes up and goes back to sleep for 5 minutes. Repeat. Until I run out of cued interactions.
I can't get their sleep bar up, so I can't play at all.
I saw someone post the same problem recently, and they fixed it by going to manage worlds and back. They slept a few hours, and then the problem returned. I've restarted the game three times, and rebooted the computer (PC). Nothing worked.
This is awful!! Please fix!

Are all their other needs good? Sometimes Sims won't sleep because they're too hungry or too stinky.

It might help to know which house. The base game has 26 houses, 13 in Willow Creek and another 13 in Oasis Springs. That's a lot of houses to check if only one of them has a problem.
