Sims won't stay in bed

My sim energy need is in the red. Everytime I have them sleep or take a nap, they lay down then instantly get back up. I thought maybe it was an issue with the energy need staying red, but I had my Sim drink coffee and watched the energy bar go up some. The game recently updated to version 1.110.265.1030 DX11, and that is when it began. I have tried restarting the game, leaving the household and coming back, nothing is working.

There are several reasons for this. You can find some tips here: Sims won't sleep

This thread is if you have issues with any Sims, especially also single Sims

If you have this issue only for couple Sims where one gets up when the other goes to bed, please use this thread instead: Sims in Romantic Relationship Keep Getting Out of Bed/Do not sleep in bed | EA Forums - 4972711

Do you have any noise source in the house ?

No photo of room. Room has 4 walls, 1 window, 1 door, 1 bed, 1 end table with 1 lamp on it. Entire room is furnished with Horse Ranch items.

No kids, no pets in the house. No radio, no stereo, no TV.

I did solve the problem by saving my game, going to Manage Worlds, then going right back to the same game/lot/family.

Can you share a photo of the room? Are there any radios on near the bed? Does your Sim have any pets or kids?

Same. Sims won't stay in bed. They're exhausted. I have no CC, no mods.

  • I just started a new save and this time my sim is unable to sleep. I've tried bed, sleeping bag and tent, she won't sleep at all, it gets cancelled after a fee in-game minutes sleep. I have no mods or cc, and the game is updated.

Problems like this one are usually caused by TVs, radios, babies, or other noise sources in the same room. Keep in mind that the same room is anyplace you can reach without going through a door or arch, or using stairs, so if you have an open-plan house the bedroom might include everything on the same floor except the bathrooms. (I've even seen some TS4 builds where the bathrooms don't have doors.)

  • Game Version: 1.108.349.1020

Issue: Sim does not remain asleep for more than a few in-game minutes (cannot fill energy meter above dark orange).

What you expect to happen: My sim sleeps until their energy meter is full or almost full

What actually happens: My sim will sleep for about 15-30 in-game minutes before waking up. Further attempts to sleep result in the same or shorter sleep times.

What I tried: I attempted to reset my sim and their bed, went to manage worlds and back, had my sim travel and several combinations of the three. I disabled my mods after the first occurrence. I also attempted to fully exit and re-enter the game.

Results: The very first time the bug happened, leaving to Manage Worlds and returning resolved the issue, but a few play sessions later I encountered the same bug and these solutions did not work.

Packs and mods: mods were uninstalled after the first occurrence. I have recently installed the Lovestruck, Crystal Crafters and Growing Together packs.

Other notes: asking the sim to sleep repeatedly will result in shorter and shorter sleep times until they are getting up almost instantaneously. Leaving and returning to the lot appears to reset this, giving them around 30 in-game minutes of sleep time. Sims will still autonomously attempt to sleep until morning, but are also unable to stay asleep.
