skin tones

not necessarily a glitch and it may just be my Perception or my color settings but like are most of the skin tones not like really off? a lot of them almost look like not people colors which I know there are a lot of people that use fantastical styles but it seems like a lot of the skin tones that are supposed to look like living real people colors are off. and it's for the most part not the white people ones 🫣 like I just think something is off with The undertones Y'all can delete this if it's just me tripping but like I kind of feel like it's disrespectful and almost like a caricature of certain skin tone types. like I understand that certain people are cool tone but like they're not literally purple or orange. like it just feels like the undertone is maybe coming up too strong or something? 🫣🫣 I know it's not meant that way but it doesn't look right to me at least. is it just me? like it's okay if it is just me tripping but I thought a long while ago when they added more skin tones that they were going to go back and fix some stuff but that did not occur From what I can tell when I'm trying to utilize CAS. and like maybe some people are those shades but there are so many shades that are definitely not people colors and then there are a lot of like skin shades that are that you cannot achieve from the swatches that look pretty similar especially because when you lighten or darken the tone of their skin the undertone ruins it.

  • I feel you on this. Many skin tones that are not meant to be fantasy/occult, look very odd. I like the idea/concept of cool/warm/neutral tones (and even maybe add olive tones). But there are some issues with the current set up.

Skin tones are not properly in order (it is not lightest to darkest)—this out of order swatch collection. This can result in to genetic mismatches, sometimes genetics want to assign between the parents skin tones resulting in odd/wrong colours (sometimes children are way darker than both parents, or just a weird colour).

I wish we had light to dark sliders for cool/warm/neutral/olive/etc. tones (like Sims 3) and be able to save those custom tones—instead of these weird swatches—that we can adjust/save after selection.
