When I ask my adult sim to teach child to ride they won't do it and when I get my child to ask an adult to teach them how to ride the child will ask, they have a conversation, it effects their relationship and the child's character values but they don't perform the task.

Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do. Please pick a thread tag for that.
- What's your game version (found in the lower left corner on the main menu)
- Do you have the issue everywhere with all your kids or only in specific (possibly tight) spaces ?
