Text overlap bug on event UI

I am on a new install of The Sims 4 on my new Xbox Series S. I am not sure if this issue is happening because I'm so new to the game, but the 'continue this quest' highlight when the UI for the quests pop up blocks the text of the story. I am unable to get rid of the 'continue this question' from being selected.

The bug here seems to be that it overlaps the story of the event.
