Career layoff is not working properly. My sim has all the skill for promotion, and their performance is excellent, but when the career layoff is on, they won't get promotion, in fact, nothing happens...

I see you edited the title, but the problem is not in the freelance writer career, just in the basic writer career.

If you're up for further testing, maybe you can test if your other Sims also gets stuck.
I was thinking freelancer as that has some issues with stuff not ticking off properly (although in your screenshot it is all ticked off)Only my writer sim is stucked. I had the similar issue earlier, it took 10-12 sim weeks my writer sim to get promoted (in another save), but then there was no career layoff option. Since when there is this option, my sim doesn't get the promotion at all.
No, I meant if you give another Sim the writer career, do they also get stuck (now). To check if it's an issue with the career or the Sim itself.
