Hacked account and EA support
Look, I've had an ea account since 2010 through xbox. At some point that account was hacked and had all the info changed other than the link to my xbox. Ive now switched to pc and cant access gamepass or ea play through it. Under normal circumstances where their client support works i wouldnt be wrighting this but alas. Ive tried to get through to adivors probably 10 times now since chatting to an AI bot that just refers you to the page that you accessed their "live help" from is just not cutting it. I need to talk to a human and i really want to fix this problem as soon as possible. This is arguably the worst help system ive encountered as a customer ever. It just seems like an infinte loop of questions that dont even matter.
BF6 Epic Purchase Fails With EC:10011, Steam Version Works
I purchased Battlefield 6 Standard Edition through the Epic Games Store on October 25, 2026, for $30.59, and I couldn't even get the game installed because of an EA account authentication error. Every time I clicked Install through Epic, the EA app would open and give me this error: "Account error when switching accounts. Your game couldn't be launched because a login error occurred from Epic. Try again later. If the problem continues, contact EA Help." **Error code: EC:10011** At one point, the EA app also claimed I didn't have access to the game, even though Epic confirmed my purchase. For context, I'm on Windows 11, and my EA account is already linked to Steam. I previously had Battlefield 6 installed through Steam, but I was specifically trying to launch my newly purchased Epic version through the Epic Games Launcher. Here's what I already tried: - Completely closing and restarting EA, Epic, and Steam. - Clearing the EA app cache through App Recovery. - Clearing the Epic Games Launcher cache. - Ending the EA Background Service through Task Manager. - Restarting my computer. - Checking my linked accounts through EA Account Settings. - Attempting to start the installation directly through Epic instead of Steam. Nothing worked. The same EC:10011 error appeared every time. What makes this even more frustrating is that I eventually purchased Battlefield 6 AGAIN through Steam for $69.99, and that version works perfectly fine. I can now access the full game and multiplayer without any issues. So I ended up spending **$100.58 on two copies of the same game** just to play with a friend. I've already requested a refund for the Epic purchase. I'm posting this because this appears to be an issue with the authentication process between Epic and EA, rather than Battlefield 6 itself. I also couldn't find a way to submit an actual support message to EA about the issue. Can an EA Community Manager or someone familiar with the EA app's account authentication process look into EC:10011? Is this a known issue with Epic purchases, and is there an actual fix? I'd appreciate it if this could be passed to the appropriate technical team. Buying a game through an authorized storefront shouldn't result in this much troubleshooting, especially when the exact same game works immediately through another launcher.
My account won’t link till 08/26/2027 help plz?
I had trouble linking my account to my new Xbox from my old one it went back and forth till it locked. It said originally won’t link till today 10/27/2026 but I got on to log in it says can’t link until 08/26/2027 I really need help this game is kinda a career for me. Any advice or ideas are helpful and appreciated.
The stolen account has been returned, but...
Hello everyone and EA Games, I couldn't play video games for a long time after becoming a father. Yesterday, after a long break, when I tried to play Battlefield 6 on Steam for the first time, I couldn't access my account. When I created a password reset request, I realized the email address to which the code was supposed to be sent wasn't mine, so I immediately contacted support. I proved I was the account owner by providing the information they requested, and they allowed me to regain access by changing the email address. Now let's get to the "but" part. The person who stole my account apparently used cheats in Apex Legends, causing the account to be banned. I believe they did this by linking their Steam account to my EA account, which is why they received the ban while playing through Steam. Therefore, I cannot remove the Steam account belonging to the person who took over my account from the linked accounts section and link my own Steam account again. The main point here at EA Games is that while we quickly resolve the claim of a user whose 14-year-old account has been stolen, we also prevent the original account owner from fully regaining control of the account due to actions taken during the theft process. The consultants in the support section say that because of the ban, I can't remove the linked Steam account, that it's a simple matter, and that I can appeal the ban to have it lifted. I've made two requests regarding this, but the team handling it insists the decision is justified, the ban will remain, and they close the matter. Dear EA Games, I don't care about your Apex Legends game; it's a game I only spent 84 hours on and then never looked at again. If necessary, ban my own Steam account after allowing me to link it; I really don't care. The real issue that needs to be resolved is that I got my account back, but you can't fully restore it because the Steam account of the person who cheated and caused the ban is still linked. This is a security vulnerability. I repeat, I don't care about your Apex Legends game; I want to link my own steam account and get my data from my other games back. Please don't continue this absurd situation knowing that I am the victim, and help me as you should. I don't know what the community thinks about this on my behalf, but I'm curious whether experiencing this absurd situation should result in me deleting this incomplete account for my security, or whether EA should fix this.
@ea.com email linked to Game pass
I have a subscription to Xbox Game pass and when I try to play any EA game on my pc I'm met with a 2FA code that's sent to an @ea.com email address. Obviously I don't have access to this email as the inbox does not exist. I tried to log into the account on EAs website by using my Microsoft log in information and changing my email to @ea.com and it worked but I still could not get past the 2FA which makes me think it was some sort of placeholder account that EA made for me. I want to connect my Xbox account to the EA account that I'm posting on which I've had for like 10 years now but I can only unlink it if I'm signed into the @ea.com account and cant unlink it on the Xbox app. I sent in a support ticket about a week ago and haven't heard back and I'm hoping someone here has a solution. I was trying to go onto Apex but I had to register to an EA Account which was weird because I have been playing Apex for a while now so I didn’t think much of it. So I logged in and said that I can’t link it because my steam account is already linked to the EA Account for my email. So I unlinked Steam with EA and then tried doing it again but now it doesn’t work. I tried Uninstalling it and Reinstalling it and it’s the same issue. I’ve been trying to work of this all day today
