Wins not awarded in Seasons
Very often when an opponent quits the game whilst playing Seasons, the match result is not reported and you are not awarded the win. It happens so often it has made the game unplayable. It is also really infuriating. In previous years, you could negate this by turning off cross-play. But this year, it doesn't make much difference. I am playing on Xbox Series X. One of the claims during the advert for this year's game was that you'd fixed this issue. But it's now worse than it's ever been. This is also the 5th time I've reported this bug in the last 5 months. The game came out in September 2025. It's now May 2026, the football season is about to finish, and the issue still hasn't been fixed. If cross-play wasn't enabled in previous years, this issue wouldn't occur. So why is it such a problem with FC 26? I've been playing Seasons since it was introduced in 2011. It is the main game mode I play. This is the first year it's had this problem, at least to this extent, and it's totally unacceptable. [CM edit: removed name&shame] Electronic Arts / EA Sports FC, I am asking you once again to review my complaint regarding repeated suspicious behavior and possible cheating in FC 26 Champions mode. I have previously reported incidents where my gamepad suddenly stopped responding during online matches. My players became completely frozen or unresponsive, standing still on the field while my opponent continued playing normally and scoring goals. At first, I thought this could be a bug or connection issue, but recently it happened again with the same opponent. The player ID in FC 26 (EA Games) is “??”, and the associated Steam account is “??”. During the match, the opponent paused the game multiple times. After one of the pauses, my player indicators changed colors, and I completely lost control over almost all of my players. I could only control one player with a red cursor, while the rest of the team remained blocked or unresponsive. The opponent easily scored several goals while I was unable to properly play or defend. After conceding multiple goals, I eventually managed to control one defender, dribble across the field, and score. Immediately after that, the opponent paused again, and I was suddenly disconnected from the match. A message appeared saying something similar to: “We noticed a data mismatch with your opponent's squad, so we canceled the match. You will not get a loss for this match.” This is not the first time this has happened, and not the first time it happened specifically against this player. I have now recorded video evidence showing the issue happening again against the same opponent in Champions mode. The exact same gamepad-blocking behavior occurred. I strongly ask EA Sports and Steam Trust & Safety to investigate this account, review the gameplay logs, and compare this player’s matches with normal gameplay behavior. If this is not a bug and is actually a cheat or exploit, it is a serious violation of fair play and competitive integrity. I also ask EA to review any penalties or match impacts applied to my account in previous incidents where I was forced to quit the game using Alt+F4 because my controls became unusable. I have suffered repeated unfair match experiences because of this issue, and I request appropriate compensation and a proper investigation. You guys fixed a bug in tournaments where if someone quits a win is granted. You haven’t fixed it in regular season games. Seems to happen most on PC users. I’ve blocked a bunch of users for this because I never get credit of the win when playing against them and cause a bunch of time to be wasted. I am writing with significant frustration regarding a persistent and game-breaking issue. During matches, my player frequently switches to AI control without any input from me. If I leave the match, I receive a disconnect penalty, but if I remain, my player moves in a sluggish, beginner-mode manner that completely ruins the experience. This is unacceptable for a modern title. The sheer volume of bugs and glitches in this edition is among the worst I have encountered, making it one of the most problematic releases in the series’ history since the 1990s. The current state of the game is simply not up to standard. If the current team is unable to resolve these fundamental issues, I strongly urge you to bring in more qualified developers who can deliver the quality and stability that players expect and deserve.
