Kit Reveal: Morgan Elsbeth
UNIT NAME: Morgan Elsbeth ALIGNMENT: Dark Side CATEGORIES: Dark Side, Tank, Nightsister Key Attributes: Durable Tank that synergizes with Foresight and Stealth to help Acolyte and Spirit do big damage Provides tons of survivability with health and protection mechanics around Foresight and Stealth. Sets the stage for a new Nightsister squad Inspiration: The Ahsoka show! Especially the granting of the Blade of Talzin and the fights that take place between Morgan and Ahsoka. We really wanted to make a kit that shows off how powerful Morgan is and how important her Nightsister ancestry is to her. The animations for her attackers were inspired by the choreography of the aforementioned fight between Morgan and Ahsoka We were inspired for her to be the Tank in the new Nightsister squad from Thrawn’s request that she stall, and hold off Ahsoka while he escaped. Strategy Tips: Morgan has a reactive Taunt to allies gaining Stealth. Use Acolyte's Basic ability so Morgan can protect her allies! Or, if the target enemy had Defense Down whenever Morgan uses her Basic, it grants the weakest non-Tank Nightsister ally Stealth. Whenever a Nightsister ally critically hits an enemy, that enemy is inflicted with Defense Down, which helps Morgan give out Stealth on her Basic and deals more Damage on her Special 2 Omicron! For survivability, Morgan provides Health recovery and Protection recovery whenever a Nightsister ally Stealths or gains Foresight. Morgan creates an Offensively strong squad by providing Offense increases when she is Taunting or to a Nightsister ally who has Foresight and Critical Damage to a Stealthed Nightsister. The recent update weakened the viability and usefulness of the Moff Gideon and Eeth Koth Datacrons, and that is something that literally nobody on the forums was asking for, at least from what I could find. The developers release a brokenly powerful a Datacron for their new Great Mothers that could only be achieved by spending absurd amounts of money, only benefiting those who can spend hundreds of dollars on the game at the drop of a hat, a Datacron that needs super specific team compositions and specific Datacrons to have a chance of defeating, and yet they decide that two Datacrons that far more players can benefit from are over performing. These Datacrons are only good for a maximum of four months and lends a viability for often older and otherwise ignored units but the moment they work better than predicted, they are weakened and essentially rendered useless despite the fact there are easy enough ways to get around them. Instead of rewarding the theory crafting and ingenuity of players making the use of the resources they are given to their maximum potential, they are instead punished for it, potentially even making investments in units that they otherwise wouldn't, especially for Eeth Koth, pointless and frustrating. I call on the developers to reverse the Datacron changes this latest update pushed out, it only hurts players and sheds the company in a negative light, that only those who can pay to win can have nice things instead of giving everybody the equal and fair chance to actually compete. I apologize for this lengthy rant, but it is bad optics in my opinion to downgrade something many players have actually been able to make use of while allowing the broken Great Mothers Datacron to reign untouchable by so many.442Views10likes3CommentsQOL Suggestion: Add character biographies for each character.
This is a hero collector game and one of the best things to do, especially when the heroes you are collecting are beloved SW characters, is to add biographies. In the same way clicking the triple bar icon can bring up the entire stat sheet for a character showing off all of their stats, we should have an icon that brings up a biography sheet explaining the character's life and their significance with images from their respective media. This can help with new players who aren't exactly SWs fans but like the gameplay of SWGOH, they could be introduced to characters they may not have seen before or be excited to read the biographies of their favorite characters because there is a large majority of this player base that farm characters that they like instead of farming the best characters, this could be a great way to connect with these players. This could also be a great way of putting the 'Inspiration' sections from every Kit Reveal into the biography as a way to connect with the community so that players who don't go to the forums/kit reveals can read what the devs were thinking when they made each character. It could breathe new life into the game and help it feel more alive and grounded while also adding an aesthetic of browsing through the Jedi archives. And it would be incredible if this hero-collector game could double as an encyclopedia for fans to read about and understand their beloved SW characters. This idea came to mind because I am currently working on getting Luthen from this conquest cycle and I'm super excited for him to boost up my Mon Mothma team, but I have no idea who he is or what he's done because I have never watched Andor. Additionally, this could help fans who aren't as knowledgeable about the Legacy characters and some characters that are part of niche media, such as Dr. Aphra, Mara Jade, Kyle Katarn, and even Starkiller. There is also a bunch of empty space in the character details. Primarily in the PC client. I've attached an image of where I think the biography icon could be.337Views10likes19CommentsP1 and the Dagger changes are too problematic
I get that the main point of P1 is to help Executor on defense. However, Between Executor gaining P1 and the upcoming Dagger changes, this leaves nothing but Levi as a consistent Executor Counter and no consistent Levi counter at all, as the Dagger changes shuts out Sith Fighter start. As it stands, I think both these ships need to be changed (Or rather the change needs to change in Dagger's case). What made Sith Fighter start so good was the reduction in RNG. If your opponent has Levi, you could take your Levi on offense to counter theirs in case they had one on defense. Usually Levi on defense even if you met against someone else who invested higher into Sith Assassin, you had a second coin flip you could win. With the proposed change, we are back to the RNGfest it was on launch of who's Levi goes first. I think if the turn meter prevention on Dagger's unique was altered to instead flip granted bonus speed on dark side enemies (So Punishing one and co would lose speed instead of gaining speed) that should allow Levi to stop Exec again without disrupting the players using Levi to beat Levi and still allow the Chimera fleet to be usable to counter any fleet that is worth putting on defense after these changes. As much as I know it isn't going to happen, Punishing one also needs a nerf. Punishing one is the core problem of all of these issues and re-enabling one of these counters will make fleets much less taxing on players and may end up not warranting a change to dagger at all. Also, If I had a nickel for every time the people who invested Sith Assassin got scammed because another unit in the squad was reworked to prevent turn meter gains in a mirror, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.708Views9likes17CommentsTie Dagger Update Problem
I don't want to spread hate here, or leave a nasty comment. I know that won't do any good, but I can't keep quiet either and I still have to say something. The Tie Dagger update is really horrible. I could previously, even with the P1 in Executor fleets, move up to #1 every day and beat the other Leviathans. But now? It's really just pure luck and has nothing to do with strategy or leveling up the units. which is a real shame! I put a lot of money into the Leviathan and really enjoyed it. It was able to push my skills and all my units. But now it's actually worthless... Now Jedi Padawan Sabine is coming and I really want to have GL Ahsoka as soon as possible and I've spent money on all the characters so far. But now that I see what happens to my investments, I won't spend a single cent more in this game and will only play like this - because apart from the fleet arena, the game is actually fun - but the Dagger update casts a shadow over the whole game. Please dear CG - change the problem - the P1 - and not what worked before. There is no shame in admitting a mistake and fixing it and not adjusting everything else so you don't have to admit the mistake. The community has spoken. Be blessed ya'all232Views6likes4Comments
