High ping issues, looking for suggestions.
So I've been playing NHL since about 2010, and have played pretty much every game mode throughout the years, ultimately settling on EASHL as the main. A few years ago I thankfully switched internet providers from Spectrum to AT&T fiber and immediately had the best connection I've ever played on. Then about 8 months ago I started noticing my ping on every server went up by about 20-30 ms. I play in online leagues and have dabbled a bit in esports, so the change in connection started killing my motivation to play. I've talked to AT&T countless times to troubleshoot, had a tech come out in person and change out all the hardware, messed around with DNS settings, router settings, pretty much everything I can think of. Then a few weeks ago one of the AT&T customer support guys changed a couple settings and I noticed my ping went back to normal on the East (Virginia) server, but on Central and QC my ping is still 20-30 higher than normal, getting anywhere from 65-70 on central and 90-95 on QC. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experience and if they found a fix, because it's driving me crazy trying to figure out what changed after years with no issues. I always play on ethernet and have a 1GB internet plan. At this point I don't know if it's an ISP issue or something I can change in my settings on my Xbox Series X or something that changed with the NHL servers. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. For reference my ping in the past was always 46-48 on both East and Central, and always about 60 on QC.NHL26 XBox Servers Down?
Receiving the following error when attempting to load NHL26 WoC or Online Versus on XBox: Error Something went wrong in World of CHEL, please try again. Invite Failed This session cannot be joined. Error is persisting after multiple XBox console resets and others have reported similar issues loading WoC in r/EASHL (www.reddit.com/r/EASHL/comments/1t275b8/servers_down/) Is there a confirmed outage for the EA NHL26 servers at this time? Is there anywhere to view status updates related to this type of outage? The EA server status page shows all EA NHL26 servers are online (help.ea.com/en/server-status/) There is a known XBox outage for 'Friends and Social Status' listed (support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status) Thanks,PS5 — Can't connect to EA servers on NHL 26 + Madden 26, all fixes tried
Hoping a CM or someone from the community team can help escalate this — I've burned through every troubleshooting step I can find and I'm out of options on my end. Setup: Platform: PlayStation 5 Games affected: Madden NFL 26 and NHL 26 (both fail identically) PS Plus: active Connection: Wi-Fi, working normally for everything else Symptoms: Both Madden 26 and NHL 26 fail to connect to EA servers. The games launch fine and work in offline modes, but anything that requires EA server connection fails. PSN itself is working — every other app, game, and online service on my PS5 connects without issue. The problem is isolated to EA's services on these two titles. What I've already tried: Full power cycle of PS5 (held power button until it shut down completely, unplugged 60+ seconds) Full power cycle of router (unplugged 60+ seconds, waited for full reboot) Manual DNS change on PS5 to 1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8 Verified EA server status page — both titles show green Verified at ea.com → Account Settings → Connections that my PSN ID is correctly linked to my EA account Game restarts, console restarts, multiple attempts across the day Attempted to reach a live advisor via help.ea.com — NextStep bot loops without exposing a contact option for this topic What I need: A backend account check, or confirmation that something's flagged on EA's side affecting my account specifically. Since both EA titles fail identically while everything else on my console works, this looks like an account- or service-side issue rather than something I can fix on my end. EA Account email and PSN ID available via DM if a CM can pick this up. Thanks in advance.Rejoining games in progress (WoC)
Please, PLEASE add a feature for players to be able to rejoin a game when they lag out/their game crashes in World of Chel. Playing 6v6 games and having a guy lag out partway through the first or second period just to be stuck with a computer player the rest of the game is excruciating. So many other games have the functionality to rejoin a game in progress when they first start up the game again after a disconnection; this is a game where every player can make such an impact and one CPU can disrupt the entire flow of the game, it's baffling that this feature hasn't already been added yet.Help!
EA_AljoEA_BarryEA_QueenBee Ive tried to get through to you guys in the messages but no luck, posting this here hoping not many people see this, just like this if you see it so i can delete it after. Thanks! Hello! I am desperately trying to get a message through to support. Please forward this. I reacted immaturely, unnecessarily, and poorly when I submitted an appeal for my case. I would like to undo it. I accept a penalty, but not this penalty. I will be honest: HUT is the way for me to organize my thoughts and function in everyday life when I am off work. I am starting to feel panic and stress in my mind because of this ban and the uncertainty. I suffer from mental health issues, which is why I may spend more money and time on the game (I don’t have a problem with it, I only spend money I can afford) than others. It is my pastime and my way of coping with everyday life. HUT is truly important to me. I have done research on your terms and rules and admit that I made a mistake, unintentionally, and I understand how it may look. Please clear my balance and ban me from HUT for 2–3 days, but nothing more. I am going crazy from the restlessness and anxiety caused by this. I would also like to clarify that I have not used any third-party tools or purchased coins. I am part of a group (or several, actually), but one group where we exchange cards among ourselves, trading and selling, posting items daily. Sometimes someone may perform what is called a “Robin Hood,” meaning they buy a card someone has listed without being compensated back, solely to help, and I believe that should be acceptable. In this particular group where messages come from, many people collect specific players, for example building an entire team of Red Wings players, only icons, only Finns, etc. The only thing I have spent money on is the game itself and packs. I have owned every version since 2016 and have been deeply engaged in HUT for a long time. I was not aware that my behavior violated the rules, but I understand it now and take full responsibility. I have learned from this and will follow the rules going forward. I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider reducing the penalty to 2 days so that I have the opportunity to participate in the weekend content and Champs. I sincerely apologize for my tone and how I expressed myself. I was simply very upset and distressed when I saw my account banned, and I know this can take a long time to resolve. I work 2 weeks and have 1 week off, which is why HUT is very important to me. I was not aware of the rules at all, but I am now, and I will make sure this never happens again. I hope you can see how much time and money I have invested in the game over the years and give me another chance. Thank you. It’s at the point where I could get a statement from my psychologist saying that NHL, and especially HUT, is the best therapy for me. I suffer from PTSD, and keeping myself occupied is the best kind of therapy. What works best is HUT, where the focus is solely on the game and competing. Would such a statement help the situation? I’d be more than happy to get it. Please add this to Case 242130072.Solved160Views0likes7CommentsGame feels more responsive in Wildcard than Ranked/Champions despite higher ping
Hey everyone, I wanted to bring this up and see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing in NHL 26. I’ve been playing both Wildcard (Threes) and Ranked/Champions, and there’s a very noticeable difference in how the game feels: In Wildcard, I usually have around 48–50 ms ping In Ranked/Champions, it drops to about 38–40 ms So in theory, Ranked should feel better… but in practice, it’s the opposite. In Wildcard, the game feels fast, smooth, very responsive... but in Ranked/Champions it feels heavy with a very noticeable input delay... overall less responsive The difference is big enough to affect the player control, the shooting timing and for defense (poke checks often feel late, etc.) Possible reasons? Is anyone else experiencing this? Right now it just feels very counterintuitive: better ping, worse gameplay feel. FYI: Im playing on Playstation 5. Thanks in advance!
