Hello everyone, I wanted to share a small amount of info about EA Play that might help you out and answer some common questions. I will keep this updated and add more info as time goes by if necessary. What is EA Play? EA Play is a subscription service that offers you the ultimate game destination for anyone who loves EA titles. Membership gives you more of your favorite Electronic Arts games – more rewards, more exclusive trials, and more discounts. What is included with EA play? Unlock exclusive challenges and rewards, member-only content, early trials of new releases, and access to a library of top titles. Play select new-release games for up to 10 hours even before they launch. Get more to play with unlimited access to a collection of Electronic Arts fan-favorite series and top titles. Save 10% on all EA digital purchases on Consoles including game downloads, Season Passes, points packs, and DLC. You can view the full list of playable games available with EA Play for your console here: Xbox, Playstation. If I play an EA Play early access game trial will my progress carry over? Yep, all your progress will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to purchase the game. Will I have to purchase the game once the trial period is over to continue playing? When your trial expires you will need to purchase the full game to continue playing on the release date, although some titles will offer early access if pre-ordered. Is EA Play cross-platform? No, unfortunately EA play requires a separate subscription for each of the following platforms Playstation Xbox Origin - PC Steam - PC Can Steam and Origin players play together? Yes. Whilst both are still separate platforms and require separate subscriptions they do get the ability to play together. How do I access my EA Play games? You can access all available EA Play games for your console by downloading and using the EA Play Hub App, free to download from the store. Alternatively you can download the games directly from the store. For PC players you can access the games through the Origin or Steam Client. What is the cost of EA Play? EA Play is just $4.99/£3.99 a month or $29.99/£19.99 for a full year. How do I subscribe to EA Play? You can sign up through the EA Play website here or by using your console explained below. Playstation Find the EA Play console app on the PlayStation Store On your PlayStation 4, go to the PlayStation™ Store. Search for EA Play. Install and launch the EA Play Hub app. Sign up for EA Play in the app Launch EA Play on your PlayStation 4. Click Sign Up Now. Select either a monthly or yearly membership. Continue to the next page to pay and finish signing up. Xbox Find the EA Play console app on the Xbox One Store Select the Store tab on the Xbox One home screen. Select Apps. Search for EA Play. Install and launch the EA Play Hub app. Sign up for EA Play in the app Launch EA Play on your Xbox One. Scroll right to Learn More. Click Sign Up. Select either a monthly or yearly membership. Continue to the next page to pay and finish signing up. Can I sign up to EA Play Pro on console? I'm afraid not, EA Play Pro is exclusive to Origin on PC only. Can I cancel my EA Play membership? Yes of course, just remember if you cancel your membership, you’ll keep your game progress (as long as you don’t manually delete your save files) and all earned Trophies/Achievements. However, you can’t continue playing the games you’ve downloaded unless you buy them or reactivate your membership. When you reactivate your membership or buy the games, you can pick up right where you left off the next time you play. Once you cancel your membership, you will keep your membership benefits until the end of your membership period. In the navigation panel on the left-hand side, click on Subscription. Next to Membership, click Cancel Membership. Playstation From your PlayStation 4, navigate to [Settings] > [Account Management] > [Account Information] > [PlayStation Subscriptions]. Select the EA Play membership you want to cancel. Select Turn Off Auto-Renewal. Xbox Log in to account.microsoft.com. Click Services & subscriptions. Click Payment & billing under EA Play. What happened to EA Access & Origin Access? They just got a name change, now they’re EA Play and EA Play Pro. You still have access to all the great games and benefits as an EA Access, Origin Access Basic, or Origin Access Premier member. How To Access Your EA Play Game Trials
Hey EA Play members, We’ve had some questions about how to access EA Play game trials. All EA Play members are able to play 10-hour trials of the latest EA titles, often beginning days before the launch of the game. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers enjoy these same benefits, as a full EA Play membership is included with these Game Pass tiers. EA Play is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & Xbox Game Pass PC. We've answered any questions you may have below. When will EA Play come to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & Xbox Game Pass for PC? Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & Xbox Game Pass for PC members will receive EA Play at no additional cost starting holiday 2020. What is EA Play? EA Play is a console and PC gaming subscription that provides members with access to a collection of EA’s best-loved series and top titles on console and PC, exclusive in-game challenges and rewards, special member-only content, and access to exclusive trials of upcoming new games from best-loved franchises and top titles. Will all Xbox Game Pass plans include EA Play? Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will receive EA Play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X & Windows 10. Xbox Game Pass for PC members will receive EA Play on Windows 10. Xbox Game Pass for Console does not include EA Play. Is EA Play available in my market? EA Play is available in all Xbox Game Pass markets. What version of EA Play do Xbox Game Pass member receive? EA Play or EA Play Pro? Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members receive EA Play. EA Play pro is only available through EA’s PC platform, Origin. What is the discount on EA digital content that Xbox Game Pass members receive? Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members receive 10% off EA digital purchase (full games, DLC and more) via the Microsoft Store, Origin and EA’s desktop app. Xbox Game Pass for PC members receive a 10% discount on EA digital content through Origin and EA’s PC desktop app. Additional Xbox Game Pass member discounts do not apply to EA digital content. What will happen to my subscriptions if I already have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & EA Play on Xbox? When the EA Play member benefit unlocks for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, users who have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play purchased through the Microsoft Store will have their EA Play membership canceled and any remaining time over 50 days will be rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:1. For example, if you have between 50 days and 3 months of EA Play already on your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account. If you have between 4 months and 6 months of EA Play already on your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account. What will happen to my subscriptions if I already have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC & I purchased EA Play/Origin Basic through Origin? Please visit Origin.com to manage your EA Play membership on PC. Your EA Play membership will not be automatically canceled, and any remaining time on your EA Play membership will not be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC time. What happens if I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but I only want EA Play? You can cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription at any time and then sign up for EA Play. To cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, sign in at account.microsoft.com/services. Under Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, select Payment & billing, then Cancel. You’ll have an option to end your subscription on its expiration date. Depending on your subscription’s status, you may also have an option to end it immediately with a refund of the price you paid for Ultimate only. The upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Live Gold or other Xbox Game Pass plans and is not eligible for refund. Do Family settings apply to EA Play? Family Settings such as screen time limits, content filters, and adult purchase approval apply to both Xbox One and Windows 10.
