The Sims 4 won't launch on Steam Deck. NO MODS/CCs
the "preparing game" still appeared but then crashed and go straight to menu. tried all of the "solutions" on google. (including,"verify integrity of game files", change the proton system from proton experimental to 9.0-4, switching to desktop mode and opened EA app from there, in which keeps crashing). and nothing worked. Finally, i uninstalled and reinstalled the game, it finally launched, but I LOST ALL OF MY SAVE FILES, no "load games" on the TS4 menu. i was so frustrated, tried playing a new save file anyway, and then i tested it by quitting the game, to see if it's gonna launch again or not. turned out, it didn't launch AGAIN! HOW CAN I AND YOU FIX THIS, EA???? AND HOW CAN I RECOVER MY SAVE FILES ON STEAM DECK. i have no mods/CCs, but i have lots of DLCs. i 'm using Steam Deck. not a tech savvy, i like playing the sims without a desk, that's why i've been playing it for almost 2 years on Steam Deck.Game freezes, crashes or both.
Hello there! I'm writing this as my last resort because I don't know what to do anymore. About two weeks ago, I upgraded from MAC to PC. I transferred my save file and all mod and cc I had been using to the new PC. The only new thing added to my game was gshade since I couldn't use it before. I have never been able to play my game in this PC. (GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5070 Ti). Every time I play the game, it crashes from 5 minutes to 20 minutes into the game. Crashes out of nowhere are rare, what usually happens is that my game freezes, I can't click anything but I hear sound effects like something is happening, even though I can't see it. If I click on the windows key and try to go to the game again, it either crashes or the screen turns completely white with sound effects in the background like before until it eventually crashes. I've tried updating every mod (even though in my MAC they still work fine), I uninstalled gshade, I took my mods folder out, created a new save, tried an older one, the game remains just the same. It runs for 20 minutes tops and it seems that mods or cc are not the issue since I tried to play in a clean save. I also tried repairing the game, and still it did not work. The same issue remains. I haven't had a PC in a good 5 years so I think I might be forgetting something system related. As of now, I made sure the HDMI cable is connected to my GPU, and I also selected the graphic's card on the graphic settings for the game to make sure it doesn't use my motherboard at all. I checked the drivers for my graphics card through the system and it says it's updated. My fangs also seem to be working well, and the RGB on my RAM is on so I'm assuming it's also working as intended atm. I have 32 GB of RAM. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. And if anyone else is having this problem or there's a suspicion that it's an EA thing and not a build thing, please also tell me. If I don't find any solutions I might just return the PC since the game it's working perfectly fine on my laptop/MAC. Is this a good call? Idk167Views0likes12CommentsGame Freezing
My game will just stop working. For example, the house is doing its normal day stuff and then the clock gets stuck at 4:44 pm and the game wont let you do anything. You cant save and exit, you cant just exit, you cant go to the main menu, you just get stuck at that time. I have to shut my computer off to get it to respond to anything. I have tried repairing the game, taking out and slowly putting my cc back into the game to make sure it isnt the cc. I have tried several new save files and they all are doing it. It is keeping me from doing any legacy anything. I cant figure this out.4Views0likes0CommentsSims 4 constantly crashing
For nearly a month now, my Sims 4 game consistently crashes. Sometimes it's immediately after the loading screen, sometimes I can get about 20 minutes of play in. I do not have any content that does not come from a Sims expansion pack that I purchased through the EA app. I have tried: Restarting/completely shutting down the computer and booting it back up. Repairing the game through the EA app. Uninstalling and re-installing the Sims. Recently I have been trying to play without the For Rent pack and the Island Living pack as we read on google these packs have been causing some people issues Uninstalled and re-installed the EA app EA app recovery Tried playing offline (made the game crash faster) Updating the graphics card Updating the computer Pulling the entire Sims 4 folder out of the larger EA folder and restarting game with a clean EA folder Computer Specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz 64 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 I feel like we have tried everything that we've found on Google. I don't even care if I have to start my world from scratch at this point. I just want to be able to play the game. The new pack with fairies and plants looks so cute!Sims 4 household taking too long to load
Recently, after the Sims 4 patch, my game has been acting up, specifically, it's taking a while to load Lemme explain after creating a new household, and I click to play, it'll take about 10 minutes to even show me the world menu after it finally shows i'll click a lot to play on and it won't even load up I've tried deleting mods, localthumbcache & 50/50 method nothings working i'm literally just thinking about quitting because before the update i just had to update some mods and delete some as well i can't pin-point the exact issueI don't even know what to call this
Basically, i just turned my pc back on after a few months of not using it and when i started my sims this is what i was met with. I had already deleted all of my cc and mods before ghosting the game for a few month so i know it has nothing to do with the mods or cc because i have none. I'm not sure if it's just me or if anyone has ever had this happen but i would appreciate some help:)How to install and register my SIMS 3
Hi all, I bought my SIMS 3 many years ago in DVD format. Now I want to install it and play it again, but alas after installation, the game starts but then stops and disappear without any error message, No updates are available. I tried to install the EA app and enter the Serial number printed on the inside documentation but it says that the number is invalid. Therefore, I cannot register the game and I cannot play it or upgrade it. I am using a Windows 10 64 bits PC. Please, is it possible to play it? Thanks, ciao.Settings and online Gallery
I play on ps5, I had recently just wiped my whole system to factory settings and deleted all saves and such (horrible I know..) because it seemed my game has nothing but issues and potentially corrupt files. Well I just downloaded everything fresh and new, but now trying to play TS4 I am unable to access the online gallery or even maxis gallery.. I also cannot access some settings in game options, like environmental settings, pack settings, even gameplay settings. I have nearly all the game packs(not including kits) for the game and they all are downloaded(including kits). I even checked if the game needed an update. I've tried restoring licenses, powering down my system and turning it on, deleting and re-downloading the whole game and all saved data again. Absolutely nothing seems to be working. Im not sure if my system may be corrupted and causing issues with server connections but my internet is Absolutely perfect too(meaning i did a internet test). I even thought maybe it was my extended storage so I wiped that clean too...(thats where TS4 was stored originally). I even tried playing with my sims disk inserted and without(i have the disk version and the console store version. They basically count as the same version no matter which i use.)Game crashing or not loading especially after updating? Post here.
If your game is crashing after recently updating it please try the two most basic and fundamental steps to resolve it before posting: Repair the game in EA App Test a new clean game. Don't just cherry pick a few files and folders you think you should remove, such as just the Mods folder, or a few random Mods, or any old cache file, or a couple of screenshots, test a completely new, clean, vanilla game. Full instructions here - [INSTRUCTIONS] How to troubleshoot and test a broken game | EA Forums - 11864548 If your game successfully launches with a new Sims 4 folder you then need to figure out what is causing the crashing/failure to load. Again, instructions are in this link - [INSTRUCTIONS] How to troubleshoot and test a broken game | EA Forums - 11864548 . Only you can do that and it can take some time. if the cause is Mods head over to the Mods forum for further help - The Sims 4 Mods & Custom Content | EA Forums if the cause is one or more particular save files, upload them to a file sharing site and post the link here (tag me) or PM me and I can test in my game If your game will not load after repairing it AND testing a completely clean Sims 4 folder please post here with the specs of your Mac. You can find these in Apple > About This Mac: model, e.g. M4 MacBook Pro year, e.g. 2024 macOS version, e.g. Sequoia 15.3.2 (yes, the FULL version is important, with all numbers) memory, e.g. 64GB storage available, e.g. 1.5 TB of 2TB. This info can be found in System Settings > General > About or More Info... in the About This Mac window. Please also post a screenshot showing the contents of the new Sims 4 folder in Finder: make sure the files are in list order in Finder with Dates and Size clearly visible. make sure all files and folders in the TS4 folder are showing, don't cut off the screenshot have the path bar clearly showing in the screenshot: with the Finder window open and selected click on View > Show Path Bar in the menu bar at the top of your desktop. The screenshot should look something like this: Make sure to add a full description of what exactly is happening and what you have tried to fix it in your post.
