Married Sims Suddenly Turn into Siblings
My two lesbian sims keep turning into siblings. I’ve cleared my mods folder, I tried to delete both of their relationships with MCC but it won’t delete either and it worked before but now it’s not. I’m sick and tired of this, I’ve had this bug for maybe 2 years or so. I don’t know what to do. Everything I try to do doesn’t work. It’s only with this household. I really want this to get fixed. I’ve read this is the Alabama bug I think.5Views0likes0CommentsEyes/Eyelids Issues (Patch 1.110.265/2.01)
Hello, Since my bug report been archived and lost in the deep mountain, I restart a new one with all the updated ressources. TESTED WITH AND WITHOUT MODS/CLEAN SAVE, THIS BUG OCCURS ALL THE TIME. I am a modder and an animator and it seems that the eyelids doesn't translate correctly in the game like it used to be since this bug was introduced, and it's still there with the new patch. When the sim looks downside, the bottom eyelids don't move at all, making sims looks creepy (the eyes go inside the eyelid). I did some animations with the eyelids moving down while the eyes are looking down, and the animation from the eyelids doesn't translate correctly in the game at all. It affects any animations in the game right now. This is an example using CAS with maxis animations, where the eyes aren't closing completely due to the eyelids animations not translating correctly in the game. Before the eyelashes patch, they were closing just fine. Gifs with the bug : This is a gif from 2022, so without the bug : Maxis animations : Custom animation : For developpers/animators : I did another test, just to show you how terrible this thing is. For this test, I did a simple sleeping pose I will use to demonstrate the bug, because unfortunately it's the only way to explain the issue more properly, by comparing in an animating program and then how it translates in the game. To achieve this result in the game with the eyes being closed like this : In a posing/animating program, I had to do this : There is clearly an error of how the eyelids translate in the game since the lovestruck patch. I'd like to know if maxis is aware of this issue and if they will fix this, as it affect every animations in the game. If I'm closing the eyes as usual in the program, this is the result I get in the game : And no, it's not the program fault. This happens since the lovestruck patch and again, it affects all the animations from the game, even the vanilla ones. I believe a data from the eyelids or something similar has been touched and it needs to be reverted back. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title20KViews711likes218CommentsLooking for friends

Does anyone else feel like their Sims are just "skins" with the same basic AI underneath? While we have an incredible array of traits, aspirations, and likes/dislikes, they currently feel like separate islands that don't talk to each other. I’m proposing a core overhaul of how Personality, Aspirations, and Memory Systems function—across all lifespans—to make the game feel truly alive and autonomous. 1. Personality-Driven Autonomy (All Lifespans) Personality should be the "brain" of the Sim, starting from Infancy and evolving through Elderhood.
[] Trait-Driven Weighting: Traits should act as multipliers for autonomy. A Creative Sim should be 5x more likely to pick up an instrument than a Lazy Sim. [] Active Likes/Dislikes: If a Sim Dislikes Fitness, they should NEVER autonomously use a treadmill. Currently, the "Preferences" system feels like it only affects moodlets, not actual decision-making.
Aspirations as "Life Filters": An Aspiration shouldn't just be a checklist for the player; it should dictate the Sim's focus. A Sim with the Master Chef aspiration should autonomously seek out the stove or cookbooks during their free time.
2. Deepening Trait Logic: Specific Examples To make Sims feel unique, their "Action Picker" needs specific logic based on their traits:
[] The Jealous Trait: Instead of just a "Tense" moodlet when a partner is away, Jealous Sims should autonomously "Check Social Media" or "Check In" via phone more often. They should have a lower threshold for "suspicious" autonomy. [] The Erratic Trait: This should be the "Wild Card" for Neighborhood Stories. The Erratic Sim should be the only one who randomly quits a high-level career or moves to a different world overnight. [] The Non-committal Trait: These Sims should autonomously favor "Exit" actions. If a relationship bar gets too high, they should feel "Tense" and seek out solo travel rather than accepting every romantic interaction. [] The Hates Children Trait: This should be a hard "No" in the code. They should never autonomously interact affectionately with infants, and Neighborhood Stories should never trigger an adoption event for them.
3. A Cohesive Memory & Relationship System Individual and shared memories should act as the foundation for how Sims treat one another.
[] Shared History: If two Sims have a "Negative" memory together (like a public fight), their autonomous interactions should stay "Cold" or "Mean" for a significant period. [] Trauma & Growth: Major life events (fires, deaths) should leave a "Memory Buffer." A Sim who survived a fire might autonomously avoid the stove or "Panic" near fireplaces for several days.
Neighborhood Rumors: If a neighbor is involved in a scandal, other Sims should "remember" this and have unique autonomous reactions (like Gossiping or Avoiding) when they see them.
4. Fixing the "Chaos" of Neighborhood Stories The current system functions like a random number generator. It needs actual logic:
[] The Baby Boom Fix: The system MUST check Household Funds, Bedroom Count, and Traits before triggering an expansion. [] Trait-Filtered Events: Events should match the Sim. Ambitious Sims focus on jobs; Romantic Sims focus on dating; Family-Oriented Sims focus on kids.
5. Technical Proposal: A Base Game "Personality Engine" This must be a Base Game Update. If the foundational "brain" is improved in the Base Game, every DLC pack released afterward will feel more cohesive.
[] The "Action Picker" Logic: Add a logic check to every autonomous action: "If Trait/Aspiration/Memory = Conflict, THEN Probability = 0." [] Relational Broadcasters: Update the way Sims react to world events so the game "pings" their individual history and traits before assigning a choice.
The Sims 4 has the potential to be the deepest life sim ever made, but the systems need to be woven together. We want to watch our Sims live their lives and be surprised by their choices because those choices actually match who they are. What do you all think? Which trait or memory do you feel is currently the most "broken"? Sorry if there was any confusion while reading . I had to change some of my formatting so the forum doesn’t mistake my feedback as invalid code .[LS] Hair changes with muscle level
Hello, recently I decided to tackle some problem linked to the muscle level of our male sims. For this thread this is about the hair that came with Lovestruck. When a sim has the muscle level high, it create a spike on that hair. It seems to be affected only by the muscle level, as I tried the fat level, and does nothing, but when muscle and fat are both high, it seems to just enhanced a little bit the spike. What i want to see is this hair, without the spike problem, when my sims is muscular and/or fat. Thank you! I play on pc, no mod, no cc, game up to date.76Views5likes2CommentsOccult eye colours swap to non-occult colours
Hi, Recently, I've seen a 'bug' where my infant and toddler sim's eye colours will keep swapping from occult colours ton regular non-occult colours when changing their clothes. I haven't tested it with child and upwards sims yet, but it doesn't seem to be happening with my YA, adult, and elder sims. I have MODs, but this happened without MODs in the game. I own all packs apart from Bust the Dust (kit) and Party Essentials (kit). Any help would be appreciated as it's kind of irritating. Thank you! :) Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title107Views1like16CommentsSeveral Hairstyles have hairline crack across forehead
Why... SOMETIMES... not all the time... ever since the August update that added pack selection to the game there has a been an issue at times when loading the game up that some hair styles have annoying lines going through the head of a Sim as shown in the screenshot attached. Like I said, it's not always there when the game loads up. Just like half the time or so. It's annoying to see and I have no idea how to completely eliminate it. It doesn't matter how I change the graphic settings. It will always sometimes show up when loading up the game and will not go away unless I quit and reload it with hopes it doesn't recreate the graphic issue. When going in to edit Alexander Goth after aging up, I noticed this: These are all nocc glasses (there is no cc in game) and no mods that changes looks (in general extremely few mods overall just bugfix mods and nothing that even remotely touch CAS)23Views0likes4CommentsIs this a bug or intended with family tree?
When the update to the family tree came out I had an existing household comprising of 2 parents and 3 children. I wanted to take advantage of the new family tree update by adding the parents of the 2 existing parents in the household. When I went to select the relationship to the sim however once I locked in the mother it immediately made the father a step father and didn't allow me to select father. I did have cas.fulleditmode enabled at the time and cc was disabled due to mods being broken. Is this a bug with the family tree or is this intended?
