Family tree keeps adding invisible grandparents
I remade the two parents, completely from scratch, and every time they'd have their first baby this happens. I do have mods and cc, but this has been happening for a while. The only mod I actually have is MC Command Center. The others are CAS overrides(skin/eyes) and hair.Photos/Paintings turning black/blank (1.102.190/1.82)
My pictures are black after I load back into my game on console. There is NO way to recover them other than loading a backup. Even if Maxis fixes the bug that they disappear you will not have them back as the information is just not there anymore. To me it looks like that the pictures aren't properly saved to your game if you click save & Exit. Nose colors are no longer available for werewolves, and for any existing werewolves itll reset as soon as you bring them into cas. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the new features, but I'm quite disappointed with how occults are being handled based on the new "Faires" in the upcoming "Enchanted by Nature" expansion pack. As a huge fan of occults—vampires, witches, werewolves, aliens, mermaids, ghosts, faeries, (elves too, even though we don't have them, lol😅), and more—I feel like EA is neglecting the older occult types. While I understand that some occults were introduced in previous packs, that shouldn't mean they're forgotten. Here's what I mean: When new occults are released with brand-new features, those features should be adapted and applied to older occults as well. This seems like a logical and obvious step to me. Benefits for Simmers and EA Imagine how cool it would be to add new items and give older occults the same new features from the new pack, just adapted to fit them. This would not only incentivize new players to purchase older packs but also make existing players who already own them much happier. Ultimately, this benefits EA too. These refreshes and upgrades would encourage more Simmers to consider buying older packs. Currently, there's no real incentive for customers if newer occults are inherently "better" just because they're newer. Especially considering your statement, 'The Sims' is going to stay for a long time. It would be a WIN-WIN for all of us. Wishlist for Improving Older Occults Treating all occults equally would be amazing and would give us a huge incentive to create new stories and play them more often. Aliens (Get to Work Expansion Pack) They desperately need a skill tree—this should be a patch update. We should be able to create new Alien Races with CAS customization, including a color wheel. Why isn't a color wheel patched in for them yet? More face markings, horns, ears, etc., are needed. Linking the alien form to the original form, similar to vampires and spellcasters, is a must. It's incredibly frustrating to have to create two versions of the same alien. What if I want the same form but just want to change the color or add face markings to the alien version? I can't do that easily now, and it takes hours to try and match the second form. I want them to be recognized as one character! Mermaids (Island Living Expansion Pack) They also need a skill tree, which should be patched in. A CAS color wheel for their mermaid tails is essential. More facial markings, mermaid gills, mermaid ears, etc. An own category for face markings, gills, etc., would be very helpful Vampires: Vampires should get access to horns. This would open up possibilities for creating fantasy creatures like angels and demons! A color wheel for vampires would also allow for more custom fantasy options. In general, CAS needs a separate category for face/body markings, etc. If new occults get new features, older occults absolutely deserve a matching upgrade. Conclusion I really hope the Sims Team considers this: Whenever new occults are created, please don't forget to upgrade the older ones with matching features. Hello, Since my bug report been archived and lost in the deep mountain, I restart a new one with all the updated ressources. TESTED WITH AND WITHOUT MODS/CLEAN SAVE, THIS BUG OCCURS ALL THE TIME. I am a modder and an animator and it seems that the eyelids doesn't translate correctly in the game like it used to be since this bug was introduced, and it's still there with the new patch. When the sim looks downside, the bottom eyelids don't move at all, making sims looks creepy (the eyes go inside the eyelid). I did some animations with the eyelids moving down while the eyes are looking down, and the animation from the eyelids doesn't translate correctly in the game at all. It affects any animations in the game right now. This is an example using CAS with maxis animations, where the eyes aren't closing completely due to the eyelids animations not translating correctly in the game. Before the eyelashes patch, they were closing just fine. For this test, I did a simple sleeping pose I will use to demonstrate the bug, because unfortunately it's the only way to explain the issue more properly, by comparing in an animating program and then how it translates in the game. To achieve this result in the game with the eyes being closed like this : In a posing/animating program, I had to do this : There is clearly an error of how the eyelids translate in the game since the lovestruck patch. I'd like to know if maxis is aware of this issue and if they will fix this, as it affect every animations in the game. If I'm closing the eyes as usual in the program, this is the result I get in the game : And no, it's not the program fault. This happens since the lovestruck patch and again, it affects all the animations from the game, even the vanilla ones. I believe a data from the eyelids or something similar has been touched and it needs to be reverted back. I’ve noticed a lot of players taking on legacy challenges in Newcrest, and while I initially had a similar idea, my story had evolved into something different. It started as a rags-to-riches challenge featuring a teenage sim named Phoebe Newcrest, who was "kicked out" of an orphanage when she turned 18... Now, I’m more of an Architect Simmer - focused on building and architecture in The Sims, and it has led me to drift away from family gameplay. To make gameplay more engaging, I've decided to embark on a 100 Baby Challenge to help populate Newcrest. Now, this next bit is going to seem a little sidetracked, but there is a point, I promise. I’ve always been a fan of "The Sims: Bustin' Out," and honestly, I wish EA would create a new version with more challenges that utilize the features of The Sims 4.... but that's a whole other can of worms so anyway to get back on topic; I thought it would be fun to have a 100 Baby Challenge where the children can grow up and start their own businesses, contributing to the growth of the town. The name "Newcrest" inspired me, and I remembered that in "Bustin' Out," the default last name was "Newbie," which I haven’t seen much of lately. So, I’m excited to reestablish the Newbie name and bring the Newbie's back into the spotlight! The Newbie's are here to establish NEWCREST! IT's time! LIke its really existentially necessary! 😅 I should not need mods to have this in game. CAS Background (neutral colors in white, rose, beige, black, grey, and navy blue) We need alternatives without the need to mod it. Custom Options should be available and integrated. We need MORE CAS Columns, like yesterday. 😆Please give us optional CAS Columns 2, 3, 4, and 5. Seriously, it's time to update this - WE need that!
