Issues With Video Stations After Newest Update?!
Hey guys, I noticed that this was an issue some people had 5+ years ago, but I'm having this issue right now! On both video stations from the Get Famous pack (The More Choices Video Station and The More Views Video Station), I am unable to upload any videos, with any sims, in my current save. I am not using CC or Mod chairs on the video stations, and I have tried moving it literally anywhere! Nothing is blocking the station, I especially know this because I can record videos on both The More Choices Video Station and The More Views Video Station, but I can't upload them! I can view the inventory in the video stations, but when I click on any video, it only gives me the option to rename the video. I attempted turning off my Mods, repairing the game, restarting the game, changing the chair connected to the video station, but nothing has worked. Note: for some reason it does work in new saves but it doesn't work in the current save I've been playing in, even though I've used the video station before in the shave and it worked then. Please help! Incase it helps, here is a list of all Packs/Kits I am using, and some extra details that may assist you in finding whatever it is I broke. VERSION: 1.117.227.1030 DX11 (PC) PACKS/KITS: Get to Work, Seasons, Get Famous, Cottage Living, Enchanted by Nature, Realm of Magic, Dream Home Decorator, Perfect Patio, Cool Kitchen, Romantic Garden, Kids Room, Bowling Night, Fitness, Laundry Day, My First Pet, Moschino, Tiny Living, Nifty Knitting, Paranormal, Holiday (Free Kit). MODS: **bleep**, BellaSims Crutches (and other various BellaSims Mods), Queenjh Figure Skater Career, Neia Clinical Psychology Career, SnootySims Pink Rush Vanity, PS Walls Mega Pack and PS Floors Mega Pack, ddaengsims Instax Mini 11 Camera, custom music, custom furniture recolors by me, and a lot of CAS mods. (but as I previously stated I tried removing all my mods and nothing changed)
Game won't start when I move my saves and mods back
It's been over a week of me trying to restart, repair, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, making back ups and new files and the game just won't load. I'll delete the Sims 4 file and the game will create a new one when I launch it, so I enable script mods and cc on settings and restart the game, it launches so I close it again to put my saves and cc back into the game file, but as soon as I place any cc and try to launch the game it'll show the pop up "Failed to launch game, and error on our end caused the launch to fail". It's not broken cc because I tried placing just a single file that I know isn't broken and it still won't work.
Aug 19 Update - Mod Crash Notes
Like MANY others, I'm getting the cycling back to the neighbourhood select screen error/bug/glitch (I don't know what to call it). Here are my notes for Mods that work so far and the mods that don't. This is not an exhaustive list (I haven't even gotten through all of my mods yet). Once I saw that the XmlInjector was broken, I just sorta stopped. LOL sooo many amazing mods depend on it. If I do manage to pull an error (which was really hard to get, and don't ask me how I got it 'cause that was over two hours ago, and I don't remember >.<) it was a 102:502fc384 error. so after the recent update for the new makeup pack, my eyes, makeup and skin details cc has (i think) broke my game. i put all my other cc into my game and its fine but when i put those above folders in, my sims freeze and i cannot interact with them and they continue to get stuck in one spot and this continues on indefinitely until i use task manager to close my game. i have last exceptions and it will not generate an exception because it appears to be in limbo so im not sure how to tell what is causing this in those specific folders. before i go through the whole folders, i would like to ask if anyone else’s makeup, skin details and eyes (contacts) are breaking their game.postures\posture_specs.py in Better Exceptions Report after newest update.
The August 19th update is really testing my patience. It broke a bunch of my mods that I had to delete, and now the game isn't even loading my household. It keeps giving me the "postures\posture_specs.py". I have no clue what that is. Someone please help😭I just want play my save.main\game_handlers\tuning\tuning_class_injection.py
I cannot seem to resolve this error. It doesn't allow me to load a household. I have removed all mods and the games worked fine but I cannot go through 1000+ mods retrying each one to find the faulty one. My mods are all from Curseforge and are all up to date. pls help.
