Nothing new downloaded for 25th anniversary
I did the download of the 70+ new items today using the EA app. It first said there was a problem then told me to click the button to restart the download and I did. It said it was complete and then had me restart the entire game. THERE IS NOTHING NEW IN ANY AREA OF THE GAME. That's not what's supposed to happen. The only advice from the EA site is to check if the update was successfully installed (without anything on exactly how to do that in the new EA app). That and to do the regular restarting of things which I'd already done. So how do I get the new update? And I thought the new EA app was supposed to have dealt with these download issues. Why switch from Origin if the new app is just a buggy? Help? This is beyond frustrating and disappointing, I'm sure you all understand.i installed the sims onto an external drive and i can't use mods
hey, i got an external hard drive for my windows PC today as i don't have enough space to download The sims 4 on my C: drive. (because my PC didn't come with enough.) i installed the game just fine and it works as good as a falling-apart windows laptop can run it. the only issue is that since i downloaded it directly to my hard drive (by selecting the D: drive as the install location, not via moving it), there's no documents folder on my D: drive to store the mods folder in. i tried to create one on my C: drive by going to documents and making an Electronic Arts folder and making a subfolder named The Sims 4 with a mods folder inside it, and placed my mods there. i made sure the mods and CC is enabled in the game too, but it still doesn't work. i have tried symbolic links, making a mods folder inside my D: drive's sims 4 folder (as "the sims 4 → game → bin → mods") and yet it still does not work. when i installed the sims onto my D: drive, it didn't make a sims 4 folder on my C: drive's documents either, like most discussions on here say. what do i do to get this to work??? i am completely unable to download the sims onto my C: drive to move the folders as my C drive has insufficient space (even after a factory reset. believe me, i tried.) if this makes any difference, here's some details, OS: windows 11 Home (64-bit) Installation location: D:\the sims 4 external hard drive: Maxone USB 3.0 mobile hard diskCC's not working after new update/patch
I have tried all methods trying to discover which CC is broken, but until now, no success. The CC's that I was using in the game are from these creators (curseforge/patreon/their site; mostly on Patreon): adrienpastel aretha backtrack caiocc clumsyallien crypticsim dogsil greenllamas house of harlix (felixandre, heyharrie & house of harlix) <3 <3 <3 joliebean joshjoseon kumikya lamatisse madlen miiko myshunosun oakiyo okruee pierisim QICC sentate serenity simstrouble twistedcat They are mostly Hairs, Clothes, Makeup and Skin Overlay. Is anyone having the same problems? I'm using Macbook Pro 2019 and until yesterday, after some 50/50, they were working, but not anymore. Ah, and I already checked the last post about the new patch and possible broken mods/cc, but none that I listed are there. Thanks <3Pie menu lag
Noticing that there is severe delay with opening the pie menu when clicking on my sim or even to just click the fridge. I have taken out my mods and even with them out I notice there is still the same lag, which was surprising for me. Before the patch update I never had this problem sigh.SolvedEndless loading screen when in Ciudad Enamorada
I've been having issues since latest update. I can attach screenshots. All mods and cc updated to my knowledge. Last time i had an issue like this i think i sent my corrupted save file to a guru and that helped. Any advice would help. At the start of January i was getting Error code 800, 801 when loading certain homes in Willow creek / Endless loading screen. After the last update it was FIXED ! but now the same issue when i load into ciudad enamorada. If this is an issue with a mod please let me know, i've already spent so long trying to fix it i just need to be pointed in right direction.100Views0likes5Comments
