BF6 - Gameplay Feedback: Weapons
Hello. I’ve never posted on the forums before, but I feel I have to share my experience with BF6 after 158 hours of gameplay, as the current state been extremely frustrating and because I genuinely want to see the game get better. Weapons The weapons balance of some weapons feels inconsistent. Some guns take 3 shots at close range while at full HP, while others are painfully slow and feel nearly useless in situations where they should perform. I would understand this with weapons such as shotguns, but it feels random across other weapons. For example, the M60 is painfully slow at ADS, slow rate of fire, slow TTK, low headshot damage, low accuracy and finally almost no suppression you can do, it feels pointless. Compare that to the SCW-10 smg where it is more accurate, less recoil, what feels like more range and faster TTK. Expected for a SMG , but I am frustrated and how one weapon feels really strong while the others, regardless of the situation, feel pointless. I mention these as examples of imbalance and the sharp contrast between them, not to imply the M60 should be overpowered. And yes, attachments play a role, but I’m judging their effectiveness based on how potent they are from the start or at lower levels. I would like to see faster aim down sights (ADS) speeds on slower weapons like the M60, as well as higher headshot multipliers across most guns. Right now, headshots often don’t reduce the number of shots to kill (excluding snipers and such) enough to make aiming for them meaningful, which punishes skill rather than rewarding it. Or LMG suppression, if not faster ADS then suppression which can decrease the accuracy on the enemy when shot at. Anything to make it feel unique and give you a better chance in battles. And just to be clear, just examples, not demands.Mortars - Why Bother?
The entire design on this item is nothing short of pathetic. As a Marine Rifleman I can tell you that this fantastical pile of crap is nothing more than an attempt to placate folks calling for a mortar. You gave it to them, and it is nothing short of worthless. It has almost no splash damage. The time on target is unrealistic. All that this thing does is mark you for everyone on the other team to see. And like fools they ALL move rapidly to destroy you. Now, I could understand that if the mortar was worth anything. In reality, the other team should just ignore it and leave this pile of crap alone. The Support unit using it is not firing has LMG at you, not reviving friendlies, and not supplying anyone with health/ammo. In truth - anyone using the mortar is all but removed from the game. The idiocy of not allowing the use of the mortar from the HQ area is mind-boggling at best. There is simply WAY too many ways to destroy these things from range. The damage it does is forgettable. I hit a tank over a dozen times - it did 5 points of damage per shot. Every now and then you get 5 points for "suppressive fire". In all the times I used it - I have only managed 2 kills - and I am pretty sure I just finished off targets already engaged by my teammates. I did manage to get about 3 kills per round - fire the mortar and get off immediately to set up an ambush on the 12 guys coming for you. None of it was mortar fire. So how do we correct this? First off, make it usable from the back. If you do so, don't worry about the time-on-target aspect. In fact, for every sector between your location and your target - add about 10 seconds to point of impact. Next, limit shots fired. I have humped the base-plate and the tube and the rounds. 6 Shots is more than fair. Make the only way to resupply is a vehicle crate. Next, I would add a greater variety to the rounds you use. HEDP is awesome and should do more splash damage than a tank. But it should not kill a tank outright. Maybe three shots. I love the smoke - good use. Next consider other packages. Willy Pete (WP - or White Phosphorus) can lay down a sizable burning field that is great for area deniability. But you can just call it incendiary and use the flame mechanics you have now. I am not sure if they ever delivered an EMP package (there was talk) but an EMP round should kill every device in the area - heavy armor excluded. Another favorite use was flares for night missions. And yet another was colored smoke to mark area targets for aircraft. None of this is hard to do. But as it stands now? The mortar is entirely useless. Very bad design flaws all around.1.2KViews13likes57CommentsBattlefield 6 Has Tremendous Drop in players. Here's why
I've played battlefield since bad company and here's why this battlefield is dying .-Hit Registration (damage calculations or multiplyer is failing) -net code(being shot from around corners) -Bullet fall off damage(starts at 10 to 15 meters for most weapons a 25 base dmg weapon will do nearly 17 to 14dmg at 15 to 20 meters) -Team balancing(often in MP matches teams are losing by 600/700 tickets) -map spamming(operation firestorm, and 311 is heavily in the rotation.... playing 1 of the 2 every other match or 2. Especially when joining without custom search... youll be joining 1 of the 2 instantly) -Gun Play(The GunPlay is a coin toss or roll of dice due to all of the issues with gunplay alone.... netcode, bullet registration, bullet fall off damage and gun fire stuttering) -stuttering when Firing automatic weapons(when firing with an automatic weapon you'll notice a choppy like firing pattern even tho you're not letting off of the trigger) -interaction/opening loot boxes/ picking up items(in redsec you often have to double tap the pick up item/open loot box button or run back to the box or item if youre quickly trying to open loot or pick it up while on the move) -Vaulting(as mentioned above, vaulting over objects or out of windows have the same issue leading to multiple taps of the button if moving quickly) -Skins/Operators(players complain even myself that their is way too many women in this game and most of the skins sold is either corny or for women. Some of the best skins has gone to female operators and there's a reason you hardly see them on the battlefield. The community is waving money for elite male looking skins, not a drafted house wife. Players are asking to be able to select a gender) -Base Weapon DMG(Due to insane BFOD"Bullet Fall Off Damage" it is Extremely rare for the guns to have the base dmg output displayed in the stats. Meaning you'll hardly see a 25Dmg or 33 dmg weapon land the damage of its shots displayed in the weapon Stats and if you do... it wont be many. no battlefield has ever required so many bullets to kill) Redsec health and registration(Redsec by far has the worse bullet registration, and net code issues which may make players feel like their target is "tanky". 200 health in both gauntlet and redsec should be dropped to 150HP which is 100 hp combined with armored plates and the 2 plates inserted equaling 25hp per plate) subscribe on YouTube @OfficialHvt on either Facebook or YouTube to see the investigations and proofs of these issues pin pointed Thanks for Reading! -Hvt143Views3likes14CommentsTeam Balancing - A colossal issue.
I've wasted two, hour long XP boosts because of this. A conquest game that ended within 8 mins. The same happened in the next round, so I left early to find a more balanced match, to actually do challenges and make the most of these boosts. Three more conquests later, two of which I had to leave for the SAME REASON. The next one went the full round, but our team was heavily unbalanced, making the round a sweaty struggle. I jumped over to Breakthrough. Two more rounds that ended very fast, due to the ongoing breakthrough issues and again, poor team balancing. A round of Rush, that ultimately ended very quickly, with us winning so fast, I could barely get a decent score in. A poor attempt at quad REDSEC, which was so glitch filled I had to leave for my own sanity. (Not counting the fact that each teammate was level 2, and two left in the first few mins prior to myself - I'm 98). Finally, some Escalation. One balanced round, with a whopping four more that were won extremely fast. Turned cross play back on, which was a mistake due to the severe cheating issues at play, stuttering, and general advantages and disadvantages at play between platforms. Naturally reverted back to PS5 only. Matches shouldn't be ending this quick due to some of the worst team balancing I've ever seen in a recent multiplayer. When one team has a mean average of level 60, and the other has one of level 102, something's obviously wrong. Don't even get me started on bits filling up the lobby. The boosts were wasted, as was my time. Once I've got this ridiculous battle pass completed in taking an extremely long break, as apparently any battlefield now needs to be out for 4 years before it's functioning properly. How close are you to giving up with Battlefield 6 due to cheaters and netcode?
How close are you to giving up with Battlefield 6 due to cheaters and netcode? I'm very close to giving up and going back to call of duty. Battlefield 6 is not fun to play. it's very very frustrating to play due the net code and all the cheaters.280Views4likes22CommentsHelicopter's are nothing more than flying coffins
So no doubt this subject has been covered before but since I haven't seen any updates addressing the issue it's possibly worth making a new post on the topic. So 'Transport Helicopter' is aptly named. Not Blackhawk - the feared beast that exists in real life. Many players use it for simply that (transport from A to B) since IMO it was EA's intention and why they named it as such. It's simply transport from HQ to an objective (assuming you make it that far without getting blown out of the sky) where many pilots simply bail out leaving their hapless passengers to fend for themselves. It's nothing short of idiotic in it's current form and vastly unfair to players who like the heli's. Then there's the issue of being targeted by a gazillion Tows, AA, RPG's, Stingers, small arms fire, (and hell, if a player has the 'guided missile' upgrade enabled on a tank that can take one out often with 1 hit too! ) - Combine this with the fact a fully-loaded 'transport helicopter' is often a very rewarding kill with taking out 6 players on the opposing team, it's nothing more than a flying coffin. And it's sad to see EA has intended it as such, with no upgrades available it seems, no matter how many hours you spend dying piloting one. Battlefield is supposed to be just that - Battlefield. Not COD. There are a ton of maps with no vehicles and a 100 COD game modes to suit those players, yet we get less than a handful of large, conquest maps with vehicles? It makes no sense. I refuse to play game modes like 'rush' etc that are small, infantry only. It bores me. I want large maps, vehicles, strategy play. If players hate being killed by aircraft then let them go play on a map with no vehicles? Or one that has ground vehicles only? Or some Rush/COD map? Why penalise the players that love the aircraft and don't have a cry if they happen to be taken out by a mini-gun? As it stands, it is vastly unfair. And finally, for me (and many other players it seems who often fill my helicopter) the heli's are some of the most fun I have ever had in BF since BF2 and the initial 'Gulf of Oman' map where they took off from a carrier and stormed the beaches. It's what made BF better than run around shooters such as COD. And yes, I played COD years ago and enjoyed it to a degree, but nothing matches BF with vehicles, and in particular the aircraft. EA needs to give the heli's a chance. Give us upgrades for them and give them a buff. Reduce the gazillion Tow's and other weapons that can take down a heli and reduce the hit damage and/or accuracy from other weapons, and make this game fun again.Bot Backfill Return Date
When will bot backfill become an option again when creating your own experience via portal? I realize that EA will never bring progression back to portal because it doesn’t create enough urgency out of its customer base to buy XP packs. At the end of the day, this is a greedy corporation we are dealing with. Our opinions are secondary to profit. Because of this I have grinded through level 50 and have mostly everything unlocked. So now I would like to reap my rewards by playing some more relaxed games in my own experience, solo vs bots. So that I can actually immerse myself instead of fighting for my life against pro FPS players. So when we will have the ability to do this again? Even if they won’t allow us to earn XP, at least allow us to play in the sandbox a bit after a day of hard work!2KViews45likes57CommentsWhere is Frontlines
Bring Back Frontlines — Battlefield’s Best Objective Mode. Frontlines should return in Battlefield 6 because it delivers something Battlefield has been missing: focused, meaningful objectives with constant momentum. Frontlines was one of the most engaging modes in BF1 and BFV because it perfectly balanced large-scale warfare with clear player purpose. Every capture mattered. Every push felt earned. The back-and-forth tug-of-war created natural highs and lows that no other Battlefield mode has matched. Why Frontlines Works Better Than Existing Modes? Unlike Conquest (which often devolves into scattered fights), Frontlines funnels players toward a shared goal without feeling restrictive. Squads move together, defend together, and attack together. Frontlines naturally rewards coordination instead of random flag hopping. The front line moves. Matches feel dynamic and alive instead of stagnant or lopsided. Winning by pushing to the enemy base or draining tickets keeps both teams engaged until the end. Frontlines thrives on infantry combat, vehicles, fortifications, and large maps—everything Battlefield already excels at. Battlefield 6 is positioned as a return to core Battlefield identity. Frontlines is that identity: Large-scale combined arms, Squad-driven gameplay, Strategic positioning, High replay value without gimmicks Frontlines doesn’t replace Conquest or Breakthrough—it complements them. It gives players a competitive, objective-driven option that still feels uniquely Battlefield. It was one of Battlefield’s most memorable, replayable, and skill-rewarding experiences. Bringing it back would show that Battlefield 6 isn’t just bigger—it’s smarter, more focused, and built around what players loved most. Please bring Frontlines back.Cheaters going unpunished for months. Wild!
There's a player that I played with on November 16th that was obviously cheating. He uses BF6 official discord to get into groups. I've reported this player over 100 times myself, he's been kicked out of the discord for racial slurs, his EA name is a racial slur as well. Sometimes when I'm scrolling on social media I see streamers post clips of this guy cheating. He is still going strong, playing every day. I guess my main question to EA is.. WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS EVEN DOING? Last time I posted about this guy it was taken down because I posted his name in game and his EA account. I won't make that mistake again. With a handful of videos circulating of this guy cheating, and probably over 1000 reports, how is this dude still active. He's level 180 already and ONLY plays REDSEC. EA, get your stuff together. I reported him through the EA app over a month ago and the response you sent back is "we're looking into it". Good job.. good job.. look harder.
