EA App not able to open and download on MAC
EA app wanted to update yesterday but got stuck and quit responding on my desktop, on my MAC which is up to date in software. I uninstalled the EA app, which is something I've done numerous times in the past and was able to reinstall without issues, however yesterday I was able to download off of the EA website then when opening it the file kept shutting off. I deleted the app package and reinstalled numerous times, ran an Disk Utility repair on my MAC, restarted several times and still nothing. Even googled and followed instructions that had me inputting codes into the computer's Terminal and still nothing. I was able to open the EA download with the Unarchiver which upon opening promptly shut down and gave me the error message that the "EA app.pkg is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." The EA app is completely inaccessible, and I have never had this issue before. I am unable to play any of my EA games. Hi everyone, About two days ago, the EA App suddenly stopped opening on my computer without any apparent reason. Until then, I was able to play my games normally, but now, when I try to launch the app, nothing happens — no error message, and the interface doesn’t show up. What I’ve tried so far: Ending all EA-related processes in Task Manager and trying again Adding an exception in the antivirus and even disabling it Running as administrator Changing compatibility settings Running EA App Recovery and EA App Update Submitting a report using EA Error Reporter (I have the ticket ID) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App Rolling back the latest Windows updates Still, the issue remains. Interestingly, the EA App appears as a running process in Task Manager, but the interface never loads. Even when trying to launch a game directly from its shortcut, neither the game nor the EA App starts. Additional info: Windows 11, version 24H2, build 26.100.3624 I work in IT and have technical knowledge, I’ve tried many solutions before reaching out here. No system changes or suspicious installations occurred between the time it was working and when it stopped. I honestly don’t know what else to do. If anyone has faced this issue or knows of a fix, I’d really appreciate your help!2.9KViews22likes36CommentsI can't purchase any Sims 4 Ad ons on the EA App!
I'm seriously so frustrated! No matter how many times I contact EA support they never reach back to me, like what is up with that? No matter how many links I click to try to find the answer on the web is still doesn't help. It seems like so many others go through this problem but have no solutions? Somehow I am not able to purchase any ad ons from the app, no matter which one it always says it's not available. I tried login out and back in, nothing. I uninstall, also nothing. And this has been happening for such a long time. I even stopped playing sims for a whole year uninstall everything, somehow a year later it's still the same issue? At this point, I might just give up on EA / Sims 4 entirely. Please, someone help me, I just want to buy expansion packs, it's literally that easy. Isn't that also the whole point why EA creates these ad ons? For us to buy?! SMH47Views0likes2CommentsMY SOCIAL TAB IS BLOCKED / CANNOT ACCES IT

Hello, I am having an issue that every time I launch the ea app it won't even open, in task manager it just shows 'ea crash reporter'. I am on Windows 11 Pro. I have tried: updating the app using the app recovery feature reinstalling the app restarting my computer Nothing works. The app will simply not open and so I am locked out of my games. I pre-ordered the new expansion pack for the sims 4 and I am not going to be able to play it as I can't get the app to open. This is beyond frustrating and the second time this has happened to me, the only thing that fixed it before was making a new user profile and I am not willing to go through that hassle again for only one app. Please help!26Views0likes0CommentsHow to Fix EA app Error Code EC:10001

Recently, within the last month, I purchased some packs for the sims 4 through the EA app, however, the app refuses to let me download the packs. Every time I have tried within the last month, it has said "Something went wrong during your download. Give us a few minutes then try again." I've tried and waited. I have emptied/repaired the app's cache, deleted and redownloaded the app, checked my storage, tried updating it, the works... but nothing works. I have tried contacting customer support and they had me restart my computer. By doing that, I was unable to recontact an advisor. Now the option it completely greyed out. I've tried getting in contact again by calling, but EA has nothing but an automated system that has absolutely no way to help. I've requested a refund, but I've gotten no response to any of them. I just want my money back at this point. This has to be the literal bane of my existence at the moment. I do not know if posting here could help me at all, but I just don't want my money to have literally been scammed off me by the app. If anyone from EA support can help, please do. I want to be able to stop thinking this... Thanks in advance.EA App randomly closes while playing BF6
My EA App crashes randomly while playing BF6. Sometimes i play for hours and it's ok. Sometimes crashes after one match or two. Closes BF6 AND EA app. Almost everytime no messages of any error at all. I receive only 2 times a message of an issue with "The app crash unexpectedly, we ran into a problem, but a quick restart should fix it." I check marked to send the crash report. I already checked all drivers and bios that are updated. Cleaned the cache from EA app and logging in with the user and password anytime. Nothing solve the problem. Another issue that i noticed are, when i am in a party at BF6, when any friend are the Party leader, they cannot select any mode. They shows with a Lock and can't start any match. But, if i am the leader at a party, i can select any mode to play. This issue only started to happens today. C'mon EA, you need to solve those issues.Ea App constant crashing
Hello all, I have been experiencing a persistent crash with the EA Desktop app. I’ve done extensive troubleshooting on my own. Issue: The EA Desktop app crashes immediately on launch. It never fully opens. Windows reports heap corruption (exception code 0xc0000374). The crash is consistent across reinstalls and survives reboots. Crash signatures from Reliability Monitor / Event Viewer: Faulting application name: EADesktop.exe Faulting module: ntdll.dll Exception code: 0xc0000374 Fault offset: 0x00000000001176b5 I also saw earlier installer/service related failures including: INST-18-4103 – Incorrect hash value INST-14-1603 – Unknown fatal error INST-3-1920 – Failed to start background service INST-14-1460 – Local operation timeout INST-21-577 – Signature validation error INST-14-1612 – Installation source missing EC:109 – App files corrupted Troubleshooting steps already completed: Full uninstall of EA Desktop Manual deletion of all EA folders (Program Files + AppData + cache) Clean reinstall of the EA installer Manual reinstall of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (2015–2022 x86/x64) Cleared Windows installer cache and temp folders SFC /scannow and DISM system repair Disabled all startup apps and non-Microsoft services (clean boot) Disabled Razer Game Manager service (it was crashing near the same time) Clean GPU driver wipe using DDU in Safe Mode Fresh AMD driver install (driver-only + factory reset) Tested launch in a minimal environment Closed all background services on startup besides Windows services and EA Closed all startup apps Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic (no errors reported) The crash still happens after all of the above. At this point the system is running clean drivers, no overlays, no background injectors, and a clean EA install. The app still crashes instantly with the same heap corruption signature. Thank you for your time and help, Joshua
