I started encountering this error for the first time today before the weekly reset for the event. I can't find any additional information on this specific error except a thread from playtest era in search results that I can't access. It happens after between 2 and 10 minutes of playtime consistently, usually after closing a menu but sometimes while playing, the game screen goes black for a minute and then this error appears. So far I have tried verifying game files in Steam, full uninstall/reinstall along with deleting the %localappdata%\Skate folder, repairing Javelin anticheat through the EA/AC folder installer, launching the game through EA instead of Steam, and updating windows. Hi there, After the Season 3 update, me and my friend have noticed a bug with the graphics (shaders maybe?) and we figured out a workaround to fixing it. First we noticed some textures were not loading in the proper quality, for example the ground textures on some parts of the Rolling Waves park would look very low quality (see the "Before" picture linked). Then I noticed the lighting would look weird in dark shadowy areas, like if the shadows were turned off or something. Well... then I decided to change my graphics settings by selecting one of the Global Graphics Quality presets and customizing it to my liking. And when I continued playing, all of the low quality textures were fixed, the weird lighting was fixed, all the new "grime -textures" appeared on surfaces and more graffiti appeared too. I went back to look what graphic setting was it that changed the whole look of the game... It wasn't any of the settings, it was just a bug. And workaround to that is to just "refresh" the graphics by switching to one of the Global Graphics Quality presets so the game has to load in the new graphics settings again and then you can go back to your custom settings again. So, The fastest FIX: Switch graphics preset Custom -> Ultra -> Custom. Now, refreshing the graphics wouldn't be a huge problem doing it once but we noticed the bug appears every time we'd load into a new server. At least some part of the graphics will break. Some goes unnoticed and some are very noticeable. One time I fix it and the game runs smoothly and then maybe I join another server and fix the graphics there again and the game starts to run very poorly, low fps and stuttering even with the same graphics settings. Another thing that's an annoyance with the fixing process is that as soon as I switch to the Ultra preset, the game automatically turns that to a Custom preset without me customizing any of the settings there. So now I have to go and redo all the settings manually to the ones I prefer. Anyways, I've added some screenshots; Before the fix and After the fix for comparison reasons and the other 4 screenshots are my custom graphics settings I used in both of those Before and After -screenshots (pretty much all settings are on Medium). My PC's specs: CPU: Intel i5-9600K GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 (6 GB VRAM) RAM: 16GB OS: Windows 11 Platforms: EA app & Steam I have Skate. twice on my PC. One from EA app and another from Steam. And I have this same graphics bug happening in both versions of the game. My friend plays from Steam and also has this same issue. Hello, I am posting this in the big thread and I have posted this twice in the general discussion forum over the course of two months. Apologies for the spam post but I am somewhat desperate for help. Forgot to mention that I am playing on Xbox: I have been trying to complete the Eelside Down step of the Bag of Tricks mission from tour 2. I believe the problem arose when I had to force quit the mission without saving anything. Since then, when I load the game and attempt to activate the mission, the purple waypoint marker disappears when I am 10m out, and I cannot play the line challenge required for the mission to be considered completed. I have attempted to fix this bug by randomly teleporting to players around the map, restarting y game and system multiple times, and starting co-cop/party mode but this has not resolved the bug. So while everyone else has gotten a full 3 seasons of what I’m hearing is a bad game I’m still sitting here with a perma ban for no reason and still no help. Would love to be able to form my own opinion about this game never thought doing an open beta would make me worthy of such perma bans. Ever since EA Skate released in Early Access, the game ALWAYS launches into the wrong screen resolution. I then have to ALT-TAB through my my open Apps (Steam & EA) back into the game, and then it goes into my proper resolution (3440 x 1440) but the refresh rate isn't correct (mine is 165htz) but close enough to be playable. Will there ever be a proper FULLSCREEN mode that allows me to set my exact resolution and refresh rate? I would really love for this to be resolved in an upcoming update so I can play the game with a buttery smooth image I've been playing the game since it's initial testing phase and I'm a big fan and supporter of everything you all work so hard on. keep it up! I'm making another post, the one from 23 days ago hasn't been seen by anyone from support. I was a playtester for Skate and about one month before release my account started receiving a matchmaking server ban error. At first it appeared as a connection error, later it changed to a matchmaking ban message. I have been trying to contact support for 6 months but the regular support agents told me they cannot handle bans. I play on PC through EA App and I have never used cheats or third-party tools. I haven't been able to play Skate for over 5 months now. I was a playtester from June to August 2025, playing without any issues. After that, it started giving me error code 852146987 (connection to EA services failed), then 461960325 (banned from matchmaking servers). I tried contacting support several times, including via live chat, but they couldn't help me, and there's no record of any ban or violation on my account, especially since I can play all other EA games without problems. This isn't the first post I've made regarding my situation, and it's absurd that no action is being taken. I'm an honest player, I've never cheated, and I've never insulted anyone. Why was I banned?
