Yesterday, I installed all the new patches. I played my game for a couple hours with no problem. I even visited Evergreen Harbor when my sim started a residential rental business there. After I left and tried to go back, the map to evergreen harbor has disappeared. I can "Manage Worlds." but when I click on Evergreen Harbor, I just get a blank screen. I closed that saved game and opened up a different saved game. Same thing. I checked the other worlds and they are fine. I even checked the new "pack selection" screen and it is turned on. I tried to "repair" the game. I have even uninstalled and re-installed the game. No luck. No Mods and No CC in use.An old-school BF veteran's (long) thoughts on the Beta
Hi all, I hope this is a place to just share my thoughts and opinions on two weeks of BF6 Open Beta. Maybe if any dev reads it, they can gather some useful feedback or it can just start a conversation about the state of the game. TL;DR: I think the game is in a great state with the core gameplay being fantastic. The atmosphere and experience is very reminiscent of older titles which are very close to my heart. Some minor tweaks regarding weapons and classes are needed. My biggest gripe is the menu design and lack of a server browser. I remain hopeful that the series can redeem itself and find a new golden age but I am very skeptical about EA's business model and aspirations with the franchise based on their recent announcements. Long version: Quickly about myself, I've been playing Battlefield titles for 17 years with my first game being Battlefield 2. I was very young then, only played single player matches against AI but I loved the all-out-warfare aspect of it with so many tanks, airplanes and big maps. My first proper entry to the series was Bad Company 2 which I got for as a gift in April 2010. I sank dozens of hours into that game as a young middle schooler. I got extremely hyped for Battlefield 3, I remember playing the Open Beta and having a blast, then waiting for the release like the messiah. The campaign was epic to me, I loved every second of it. I also appreciated the Co-Op mode which remains a unique experience in the franchise. Obviously, the multiplayer was the peak experience with me playing it for hundreds of ours, every day after school with friends - great nostalgia. I was surprised how quickly Battlefield 4 was announced only 1,5 years later. I played the Open Beta, it was nice but I did not feel so much difference that it would warrant a purchase at launch. I was a broke high schooler then so I had to make every penny count. After that we all learned that BF4's launch was very rough and the game had many issues so I was lucky I stayed with BF3. I ended up purchasing BF4 in Summer 2014. The game was already in a much better state with most problems fixed. I remember going through the Premium Expansion Pack releases then seeing DICE LA put God's work into the game in 2015 with fixing the netcode and other quality of life improvements, as well as some amazing free content such as Legacy Operations and the Community Map Project which was an amazing experience and it felt so unique to participate in the testing. 11 years later, I still play BF4, to date it is my go-to BF experience and I think it was the peak of the franchise. The game and the community is alive and well, the mechanics feel good, graphics are still impressive and with friends, it's an awesome shooter experience to this day. At launch, I didn't like Battlefield 1 that much although I appreciated the dev's courage to change the setting so drastically. I just wasn't immersed with the WW1 vibes - later, with the Premium Expansion Packs, the game grew on me and I've just recently reinstalled it. I did not purchase Battlefield V because it was very far away from the proposed WW2 atmosphere, I tried the Open Beta but it didn't give any lasting impression. Battlefield 2042 felt like it had potential based on the news and trailers but Open Beta quickly made me realize it's a huge step in the wrong direction and nothing felt right about the game. It was a huge disappointment and I am sure everyone could feel that. It was strange to me how could a studio that made masterpieces like BF3 and 4 mess up a new title this badly - it felt like it was made on a different planet. News of Battlefield 6 initially left me indifferent, I never assumed that after the mistakes of BFV and BF2042, there would be hope. But I could not remain so for long, BF was part of my youth, I spent 15 years, more than half of my life (I am 27) playing the franchise, I could not give up hope. EA and DICE assured us that this game is a return to its roots (but then again, so was BF2042 allegedly) and they will listen to the community. BF Labs announcement was the first thing that gave me hope. Obviously, YouTubers did their best to hype up the community and promise a great return. I was still sure though that they could not repeat BF4's success. But the reveal trailer and multiplayer reveals awoke something in me that I thought was completely dead: hype. Everything just looked and felt right. I was very excited to jump on the Open Beta and because of my (unsuccessful) BF Labs application, I had two extra days to play. Obviously, with work and everything, I can't play as much as I did 10 years ago but I did my best to play the hell out of it. I was not disappointed. What I loved: Overall, the game feels just right. The atmosphere reminds me of BF4, it's VERY immersive. From a technical perspective, everything is fantastic. Visuals, audio, animations, general art design - it's 10/10 to me. I love the realistic design, the contemporary setting; I could quickly accept the concept of Pax Armata as OPFOR although I wished for something more "cliche" such as Russia or China - but obviously EA doesn't want to lose markets; The little details in character models, animations and environmental interaction is amazing (like parked cars' damage model etc.); Destruction feels great; Vehicle cook-off and helicopter crashing animations are amazing, very immersive. I also love how the wrecks can stay on the map and act as cover - this is ingenious; The game ran flawlessly, performance is rock solid and optimization is good; Maps feel varied and colorful. People were complaining about map sizes which is understandable but I trust that unreleased maps will be larger and allow for more vehicular gameplay. Still, Liberation Peak was "peak" (no pun intended) to me. I think it's by far the best of the Beta's collection; I like the shorter TTK, it's less forgiving, makes everyone to be more considerate with their actions and less Rambo stuff; Squad revive with the dragging mechanism is awesome; Weapon customization feels great and it's the most detailed we've seen (not COD:MW or Delta Force levels but close); The return of classes is a godsend; I like the Class Abilities concept and that you could customize the focus on certain tasks; I did not think that I would like the decision to make Support give ammo and health simultaneously but I grew to appreciate it - I still hope though that there will be a class specialization for more ammo; The controls and physics of armored vehicles felt amazing, I love the small delays in the movement and between the switch of optics etc. - everything feels more manual, heavy and realistic (I have extensive real-life experience with combat vehicles so this is close to my heart); I love the return of engraved dog tags. What I did not like: I think these are more minor things with most not effecting gameplay but I hope all will be tweaked. Biggest problem for me: weapons balance felt off in some cases. Some weapons felt way too strong with laser pointer characteristics and no recoil compared to others. The HK433 (or whatever it's called in-game) feels way too good at medium ranges even in full auto. More severely, I think PDWs are overpowered at close ranges, even if you get a drop on someone, the high ROF will compensate for everything - many times getting killed by a PDW felt like an old-school superbullet from BF4's worse days. Compared to the mass hysteria, I think the shotgun was OK; I wish there was more emphasis on medium range engagement and weapons tuned accordingly - this would make semi-automatic fire viable; I still think that the movement is too dynamic and fast-paced - this is probably to please a new generation of players who grew up with COD and Apex and stuff but I think BF should be slower than this. I don't think sliding or combat rolls belong in this game and jumping should break aim; Health-regen has to be a tad slower and maybe capped to 75% so players will seek medics; There HAS to be a server browser with the opportunity for custom / community-owned servers; The Main Menu design feels very bad. It's way too simplistic yet too busy at the same time with too many animations and flashes in the background. I hope this is just a placeholder and the release version will have an overhauled menu. I think a very simple, basic design is more than enough - please don't make it so arcadey. BF4's menu that was added later to get rid of Battlelog feels just right; The settings menu feels too complicated, again please take a look at older titles where this was figured out so well; Weapons customization is buried too deep both in the Main Menu and on the Respawn Screen - this needs to be quicker and easier to access, not click into 3 sub-menus. Again, I think in BF3-4 this was functioning perfectly; I do not like the ticket counter being on the top of the screen, I wish to have an option to put a smaller version above the minimap like in older titles; I am also not a big fan of new class icons - why change just for the sake of changing? I very much miss the flags from the capture points - this is a quintessential, classic Battlefield element that needs to return; It should be more obvious who is the squad leader, just having a number next to the names in random order feels odd. I think the squad leader should always be the first name on the squad HUD and maybe even have a slightly different color or icon; This probably isn't the game's fault per se but I really do not dig Breakthrough in general, I think it focuses the combat too much and it creates madness. It's especially bad when there is only one capture point. This just seems more streamlined with Rush in previous games (BF3 rush was peak) - although I didn't get to play it during this Beta, I read that there were problems. What I'd love to see return / added / improved: These are rather minor things or just wishful thinking based on great nostalgia from previous games. None of these have a severe impact on gameplay but I think they would make the game more immersive, fun and impressive for veterans. Obviously, it was just a Beta but more weapons, equipment, vehicles and maps; I would love to see more classic maps return later (eg. Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Caspian Border, Wake Island, Daqing Oilfields, Ziba Tower, Guilin Peaks, Kharg Island, Pearl Market, Dragon Valley, Paracel Storm, Operation Harvest, Road to Jalalabad, Grand Bazaar, Panama Canal); It would be also nice to see more sub-factions (or at least skins) return under NATO and Pax Armata teams - I think the trailer also showed us Egyptian soldiers for Cairo but we played as US in the Beta, it would be neat to have these options. I also miss old-school Middle Eastern Coalition from the franchise; In general, more Middle Eastern maps would be nice because it takes us back to the roots of BF2 which had a great balance between desert and green maps but also BF3 did great with so many maps from that region; Dynamic weather would be amazing - not only "levolution" events like a sandstorm but rain or fog coming and going (sometimes just overcast with some distant thunder and few drops of rain - great vibes, sometimes a proper shower); Dynamic day/night cycles would also be nice; Footsteps were quite weird during the Beta. Sometimes I could hear them from a mile away, sometimes people had no problems sneaking up to me. This seemed to be independent from the amount of "action" or ambient noise around me; I would love to see a proper aimed down sights view for the light transport vehicle instead of a zoomed in crosshair which makes aiming at medium ranges difficult; The Assault's syringe feels rather weak or maybe I just could not exploit it but many times, I even forgot that I have it; The Engineer's mine didn't seem too useful to me - but we didn't have too much armor action. I still think that on Cairo, standard mines would've been more useful; It would be nice if the commo rose had a request for order option like in BF4 with an automatic squad leader replacement if no order is given; Connected to this, squad actions should be rewarded with extra points in order to encourage teamplay. Squad Perks / Field Upgrades were a nice addition to earlier titles and maybe even well-balanced set of supporting squad call-ins from BFV could make a return (like ammo drop or a UAV); I think 5 man squads also had their merit, it just allowed for more diverse squad play; It would be nice to see the return of Commander Mode with better rewards and higher influence to encourage players to play - maybe a hybrid solution where a foot soldier can be commander like in BF2 would also worth exploration; Maybe I just didn't realize it but to me it felt like that vehicles have no armor zones. No matter if I hit a tank from the front, sides or rear, I did the same damage with the RPG. If this is indeed the case, then I would love to see armor zones where a rear hit would be more damaging and even induce a mobility kill like in BF4; I miss the old Assignment system of BF3 and BF4, as well as Class Service Stars and related unlocks; I also kinda miss the old red doritos as spotted enemy icon; I would also love to see the return of a Ribbon system from BF3, BF4 and BF1; I miss the old, classic ranks and rank icons taken from real life military ranks. BF1 was the last that had realistic ranks not some random silly icons. It would be nice touch to see these return; The return of Battle Pickups would also be nice, some good weapons you could use in a pinch, especially if you were badly outgunned by enemy armor - the M136 CS in BF4 was epic for this; Probably in the Beta we only heard a fraction of it but I think the music could be more powerful. I really missed the classic Battlefield main theme beats. The music in the menu was forgettable; I think suppression should have a more severe effect, it feels pretty useless now; I also think that every vehicle should have finite ammunition and return to main base to rearm in order to stop any player / vehicle from dominating a sector; If I saw right, none of the announced maps have bodies of water so I trust that with future maps, the naval domain will return. The networked water simulation from BF4 was very fun and immersive, especially on maps like Paracel Storm or Lost Islands. It would be a shame if BF6 left out naval combat - I guess this was a corner cut during development. Also, closed weapon classes are the only way! My concern: It's EA's ambitions. Based on corporate communication you can clearly see that EA has huge, likely unrealistic expectations from Battlefield 6. It's commendable that they gave more time for development and are were willing to take a few steps backwards, in the direction of classic Battlefield experience and I am also sure that the studio took financial risks - assigning 4-5 studios for a single title is crazy. At the same time, executives saying things like toppling COD and Fortnite player numbers or mentioning the possibility of yearly entries to the series feels so wrong! Battlefield has its own niche, it's a unique experience, it does not have to cater to every genre and type of gamer out there. I know the franchise used to be a cash cow for EA but the reason for that was because the game knew exactly what it was and what type of gamer it had to satisfy. I am already worried about the live-service model, purchasable skins and battle passes that plague every single multiplayer game released in the past 5 years. Personally, I'd rather have a Season Pass or Premium (like in BF3, BF4 and BF1) where the devs can focus on adding core gameplay content instead of releasing all kinds of random skins and gizmos like a conveyor belt. I know they promised to stay grounded and realistic and there is a huge variety of tactical gear and equipment out in the word which they can use as inspiration for cosmetics but I am afraid that this will not last forever. The Deluxe Edition's Phantom skins are already weird and some of the vehicle paintjobs you could unlock during the Beta challenges look also too funky. I also do not feel that there is ANY need for a battle-royale game mode. This takes away resources from the core development and adds a run-of-the-mill BR clone when there are about a dozen other games out there. I am yet to see any BF player who is missing this stuff from the franchise. Battlefield Portal also feels like a useless addition but I've never played it in BF2042 so maybe it has its place. I just wish the devs could solely concentrate on getting the core gameplay and flow right, creating a strong and stable base for launch that can be expanded in the future if needed. Now we have separate teams working on arguably secondary features and game modes that deviate from the classic BF experience for no reason. And all of this has be packed into the launch. I am very concerned. But so far all we've seen is very promising in my opinion, Battlefield 6 is definitely many steps towards the right direction and it may actually bring a redemption arc to the series. I am hopeful and curious to see where this game will go and how it will evolve. I just hope that corporate leadership will not push it again towards another identity crisis. This is probably the make or break moment for the franchise and I really wish all the best because BF has been with me for so long. If anybody made it this far, thank you for reading my thoughts. I am not sure if anybody will actually read or consider any of this but it felt nice getting everything out of my chest. All the best, SantaThe Sims 4 не запускается
Windows 11sims 4 crashing on loading screen/won’t launch
HELP!! my sims 4 will not launch! or rather it will start to, but then crash before i even get to the main menu screen with all my save files. i have repaired the game & the EA app, uninstalled & reinstalled the game, uninstalled & reinstalled the EA app, removed all mods, restarted my computer, updated my computer to Windows 11, cleared the cache & all exceptions, updated my graphics card…. i don’t know what else to do. i even deleted all of my save files in case one of them was corrupted but the game still will not load. please help!!Can’t play any game mode. Especially ultimate team
Fix your game. I paid for the deluxe edition and I haven’t been able to play for an entire week already. I was updating my lineup next thing I know it kicked me out of the servers. Now every time I go to my lineup to finish my lineup it just kicks me out of the servers. Please FIX!!!!We want Undershirts and arm sleeves allowed together on players!
Why should this even be a discussion? Idk why is the cover athlete wearing a folded/short arm sleeve but we can’t even get that option in the game? Like do developers care that much over performance instead of presentation and aesthetics? So many guys while watching football now have an undershirt with the ability to add an arm sleeve? Why can’t madden give that option already? It took 2k like 7 years to give us a shorter shooting arm sleeve, hopefully EA can fix this already. On the Scattering of Game Bullets
gunplayNot very acceptable. The bullets of a large number of weapons now scatter in long-range combat, making it impossible to hit the enemy。 This kind of consecutive shooting punishment is not suitable for many non-traditional battlefield players or some battlefield players。 It is rumored that your production team is considering,Regarding further increasing scattering penalties to improve the so-called balance, this is unacceptable for many players who focus on aiming。 If there is hope for change, my suggestion is to reduce or maintain the current ballistic scattering
