EA account linking to Steam
My EA account has previously been linked to a steam account that has not and has never been owned by me, I have unlinked that account however, I am now unable to link to my actual steam account as "An EA account can only be linked to one steam account in its lifetime.". I suspect this came from when my EA account got hacked last Jan and EA support rectified my access but I guess didn't check to see if any random accounts got linked during the period I lost access. I also never got an answer as to how they got it when I have 2fa enabled but that's a different issue we're unlikely to get to the bottom of. So far I have raised 6 support cases about this all have keep getting closed and marked as resolved with no notes, no email and no interaction from any live support or email. I have no idea where to go now for help on this.24Views0likes4CommentsSomeone made an account under the email I'm using for said account?
So I got an email saying someone had made, and verified, this account using my current email address, naturally I made sure to change the password to this account and all its information, but... I don't understand the motive? Were they waiting for me to log in so they could get my details on the off chance I didn't change the password? To be clear, I did not make this account, it was made using my email and I'm just trying to stay logged in till I know what's going on. I'm not sure what to do about it, are there any other security measures I should be taking here? It's not like they had access to my payment methods or anything, I'm really baffled and concerned. I also changed the password for my email of course, it did scare me that they managed to verify the account somehow, but there's no new logins detected on gmail so I have no idea what's going on. Also if it matters, the email address I received all this info from was mailto:EA@e.ea.com, I wasn't sure if it was legit so I made sure to only log into the website itself, wasn't gonna risk falling for a phishing scam. So yeah, any advice? Should I be worried, should I be doing something else? I appreciate any and all help.6.9KViews12likes47CommentsWhere is the option to contact live chat support? Does it even still exists?
A few days ago I tried to login into my old account to unlink steam. The problem is ea doesn't send me 2fa verification code. I contacted support and they sent me this link and said to reach live chat support (Screenshot 1) There is no option to contact live chat there. After that they just closed my case. So I opened a new one where I spesifically stated that I need to contact with live chat support. After waiting for another 2 days thay send me this (Screenshot 2) Link is different now but it literally goes to the same page. The case status is now "whaiting on player". Like what do you want from me? THERE IS NO OPTION to contact live chat. I wrote it in my case. What exactly does your support team not understand? At this point I am not even sure that these cases are beign reviewed by real people. And the fact that I have to wait 2 days for each of these responses... I have all required information to login into my account. This problem isn't coming from my side. Can you provide me an actual support on this matter?Solved4KViews0likes10CommentsAll Battlefield Progress Reset due to bug during BF6 beta / anticheat, HELP
Title. Gamertag is N0xM3RCYxHD (a zero after the “N”) Was flagged on PC for “cheating” due to a bug and secure boot bs that wouldn’t even let the game start or launch. I had no clue of this until after the beta I hopped on battlefield 1 and was level 1. Put a ticket in and got zero info back other than the ticket saying “cheating”. I understand, but it’s a false flag. EA support has ignored me and not given ANY help or any communication at all as of now. i got it to work on my main PC and played the entire beta without issue an hour after trying on my older one i have been using. Secure boot was off, and wouldn’t launch, turned it all on, still didn’t work. So I swapped and it worked on the newer PC. It was a false ban, all my progress and stats along Battlefield games was reset, please help me get it back. Can provide ANY AND ALL information and guarantee if someone takes a serious look through the account/issue and combs through the details you will see it was a false flag. thanks in advanceSolved39Views0likes9CommentsEA Ban Appeal Bug
I was suspended from Apex Legends a while back. EA provided me a link to appeal the ban, however since then, I have not been able to get back into my account at all. I have verified the password, however, when I click the link to appeal and enter my email, I receive "This email is not eligible for an EA account" If I try to reset the password I receive an "This email or ID is invalid" I have spoken to the 1st level advisors who are unfortunately very unhelpful. They can see the account exists and have sent me one-time codes for the purpose of authentication but I still cannot get into the account at all. I think this is a bug on EA side as presumably the suspension should be lifted by now or they should have suspended for just Apex, and not my entire account? Has anybody else experienced this or received support that actually resolved the issue? I've had multiple cases and promised escalations from advisors that lead to nothing with the last advice of create a forum post - so here I am. Note the account I am using to create this post is NOT the account that is suspended. Figured I'd be clear on that.37Views0likes4CommentsCustomer support is useless
Why does such a large gaming company have the poorest customer service system? For content: my account from 2016 is not accessible. Might’ve been hacked, might’ve been disabled, might’ve been lost in data files. Idk? EA won’t talk to me, I’ve spent 3 days waiting and trying to speak to an advisor, and everytime I close my laptop or phone for a second - an agent closes my case sets the status as “player unavailable” and says something like ‘hey! Looks like you’ve stopped replying, if you need any further help, get in touch at blah blah blah…’ I’m sick of it, they don’t care if someone’s at potential loss due to their poor security systems and the ONE thing I have to enjoy in my down time doesn’t work. I’ve had to get refunds on orders on the basis I cannot access EA games after being a fan for nearly 10 years. From analysis I suspect my 2016 account has turned to “ghost” status, so it’s inaccessible and I JUST need SOMEONE at EA to talk to me and unlink my console account from my EA account and relink it to my new and current account. Mainly more of a rant then seeking help as I have zero hope left and maybe some random EA employee will chuckle as he reads this on his 6th break of the day.46Views0likes1CommentAccount Was Hacked, I Have Original Information, Steam Still Linked
Dear EA Support Team and Forum Community, I'm reaching out for urgent assistance regarding a critical account security issue I'm facing. My original EA account was recently hacked, and the perpetrator has maliciously changed the associated email address. Fortunately, I still possess the original registration email for this account, along with all purchase confirmation emails from EA for games I've bought over time. These documents should serve as irrefutable proof of my ownership. The most pressing problem now is that my Steam account remains permanently linked to this compromised EA account, and I have no way to unlink them myself through normal procedures. This situation has not only disrupted my ability to access game services but also exposed my Steam account to potential security risks. What makes this situation even more devastating is that I've been completely unable to get official support through standard channels. I've attempted repeatedly to create a support case via EA Help but encountered system errors each time. I've also clicked every possible option for live chat support, only to be met with dead ends—there's simply no way to initiate a conversation with a support agent. At this point, I'm trapped in a cycle where I can't reach EA customer service through any official means, leaving me with no professional assistance whatsoever. I'm pleading for help from EA officials to either: 1.Assist in unlinking my Steam account from the hacked EA account, or 2.Help recover access to my original EA account Given the time-sensitive nature of account security issues and my inability to use standard support channels, I would sincerely appreciate any guidance, alternative support channels, or direct intervention from the EA team. Thank you for taking the time to address this urgent matter.65Views0likes6Comments
