EA NextStep, a step back
I am starting to think that they know what they are doing, seeing that the forum was the only resource that popped up when I was researching a problem I was pleasantly surprised to see a "contact us" button at the bottom of the support page. Now I was fully expecting an AI assistant, at least before speaking with support staff or having a ticket created, but what EA has created is well beyond any other assistant I have ever had the displeasure of navigating. Every single prompt from EA NextStep comes with little to no regard of the information you entered into the window previously. Beyond stating your name multiple times be prepared to state your problem, game, and system multiple times in repeat. And for those of you as gullible as me, hoping, praying to at least have an actual ticket created and maybe get a chance to have another person review your problem, let me save you the effort. At the end of each session with EA NextStep it will prompt you to the EA "Self Help" guide where the AI chose an article for you to read and hopefully fix the problem yourself, the only problem, it doesn't actually listen to your problem. I was trying to solve the random EA app failure on PC and beyond having to give it all of the important information multiple times, I was offered a generic "game help" article, a "login help" article, and a "connectivity troubleshooting" article, none of which actually addressed the problem or the fact that I had attempted many of the steps those articles were suggesting before trying to find more help. If anyone has a solution to the EA app bug, I would be very appreciative, but I will not hold my breath on EA finding the solution, as the multitude of threads on and off of this site complaining about the exact issue I was having, and the EA proposed solution, if all else fails, factory reset, and the EA app and EA games are just not worth that effort.185Views2likes6CommentsEA account linking system is basically the final boss of gaming paperwork
I am trying to link my Steam account to my original EA account, but I am unable to do so due to a cooldown restriction. I have been in contact with EA support for a month regarding this, and I am being told I must wait an additional 5 months (to complete a 6 month or 365day wait period). I have already purchased a game on Steam and would like to play it immediately. However, I am concerned that creating a new EA account will result in my progress and library being scattered across multiple emails. Is there any way to waive this cooldown so I can access my purchase on my primary account? Has anyone found a workaround for this, or am I just stuck waiting wait out the 5 months or buy it directly on the EA App later. It’s better than losing your "OG" status.? I am the verified owner of both the Steam and EA accounts. As a long time customer, I am frustrated that I cannot play a newly purchased game on my primary account. I am asking for a one time manual override of the linking cooldown so I can consolidate my library. Creating a second account is not a viable solution as it would split my progress and purchases The Positive: You can play the game immediately. The Negative: Your Steam account is now officially linked to that new email. If you want to move Steam back to your OG EA Account in 5 months, you will likely have to face another 6 to 12 month cooldown starting from that day. The Progress: Any skins, levels, or achievements you earn in this game will stay on the new email forever. They will not transfer to your OG account later. btw, I've spoken to more than 11 EA advisors and have been struggling for a month, yet no work has been done.Solved49Views0likes3CommentsVillage Life ; Childhood Game
I did some research and saw that EA bought Playdemic. I'm here to ask -- or practically beg EA to bring back a childhood game I and many others absolutely enjoyed, 'Village Life'. If even one person can see this and mention it to their higher ups I'd be so grateful. I severely enjoyed and miss this game. If there's another way I can contact EA and ask whether they would bring back such a classic, please let me know.Solved1.1KViews21likes15CommentsRequest to Bring Back the Beloved Game “Village Life”
Dear EA Team, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing as a long-time fan of Village Life, a game that touched the hearts of many players around the world. As you have acquired Playdemic, the original developer of the game, we believe you now hold the legacy of this beloved title. Like thousands of others, I have incredibly fond memories of building families, growing villages, and watching generations flourish. Village Life stood out with its emotional depth, peaceful gameplay, and unique generational system—something we haven’t quite found in other games since. Even years after its removal, the community remains active—sharing screenshots, nostalgic memories, and hoping for its return. There are countless social media groups and forum threads filled with people who would wholeheartedly support a remaster or revival of the game. We understand that re-releasing a retired title is a major decision. However, the demand is real and the love for this game has only grown stronger with time. Whether it's a refreshed mobile version, a limited-time release, or even a spiritual successor, we’d be thrilled to see Village Life live on in some form. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for carrying the torch of a game that meant so much to so many of us—not just as a game, but as a cherished part of our lives. Warm regards, Iremnur A lifelong Village Life fan3.1KViews26likes20CommentsBring my childhood back

I’ve been trying to get through to somebody or something to sort now and it has been hours. I no longer have access to an old email address. It no longer exists. What can I do? It just says our agents can’t deal with this on any options I type in. Absolutely no way to get in touch. My gamepass is linked to this as well so that’s also affected. The account is 17 years old. I can get into it but can’t make any changes due to the verification. All I want is the Xbox gamepass linking to my current account. I’m not even bothered about the old one but I’m finding it completely impossible to get any help sorting it. Any help would be massively appreciated . Thank you in advance.Solved90Views0likes3Comments
