Platform: PC (EA App) Issue: For the past 2 days, every time I try to launch Apex Legends, I receive the following error message: “The client is not running the anti-cheat or has failed the anti-cheat authentication.” After this, the game freezes during loading and then kicks me out. Steps I’ve Already Tried: Restarted my PC multiple times Set the anti-cheat executable to run as Administrator Repaired the game through the EA App Deleted the anti-cheat file and repaired the game again to force a reinstall Verified that no firewall/antivirus is blocking the game Result: None of these steps resolved the issue. The game consistently fails to authenticate anti-cheat and will not let me play. Expected Behavior: The game should launch normally and allow me to connect without failing anti-cheat authentication. I have a theory that the new ANTI CHEAT update is affecting THOUSANDSSSS of players. Many of us have been reporting for weeks that APEX keeps crashing or wont launch at all. I play on PS4 and when trying to open APEX, it closes and shows an error code. I get an error code EVERY TIME. I have reinstalled the game and even waited for the latest update, nothing works. I do not want to lose any of my game data! It sucks that there is no way to login into my APEX account online so I can at least see if my account is perfectly fine; if my packs, coins, heirlooms are untouched. APEX NEEDS TO RESPOND TO THESE ISSUES.
