Input Delay & prediction error
Subject: Ongoing Input Delay & Prediction Error Issue on Apex Legends (PS5)
Hello,
I'm experiencing a persistent input delay and prediction error in Apex Legends on PS5. The issue occurs every time I play, regardless of the time of day, and it's especially noticeable in third-person view — I can see a consistent prediction error that never goes away, in the Firing Range.
There are no signs of packet loss or lag spikes but you feel it , and if you turn on thirrd persoon mode in firing range you can see the prediction error constantly, and I've already taken the following steps to rule out local issues:
- Upgraded my internet connection (fiber 300 Mbps).
- Tested on three different PS5 consoles.
- Tried multiple monitors and HDMI cables.
- Changed all relevant in-game and system settings.
- Enabled/disabled features like VRR, 60/120 FPS, DNS settings, DMZ, and more.
After all these tests, it's clear to me that the issue is server-side or engine-related.
Here is a video I recorded myself in the Firing Range that clearly shows the prediction error in third-person mode:

I would really appreciate if someone from EA could contact me to follow up on this issue and provide any help or investigation. This has been ongoing for a long time and is greatly affecting the playability of the game.
Thank you
