Sims invited on dates turning invisible after it ends
I came across this issue while playing yesterday. Almost every time I went on a date with a sim to a different lot the date would seem to turn invisible after it ended but they where still on the lot and my sim would still try to interact with them. If I tried to focus the camera on said sim it wouldn't do anything. This was the case for both the lovestruck dates and normal base game dates. The only way I was able to remedy the issue was traveling to another lot. I have all the packs and the lastest version.
PC freezes when game loads
Just installed 0.27.7 via Steam. The game loads, the splash screen appears and I hear a 'skateboard' noise in the background. Then I get a 'no Display Port' message appear on-screen, and the monitor goes into standby. PC completely freezes... Win-Tab, Esc, Alt-F4 do nothing.... I have to press the reset button on the case to restart. This has happened on every attempt to load now. Happy to share logs if needed. Win 11 - latest update. OK BUT JUST SAME VISUALLY AND PLAYS SAME AS SKATE 3
How many years ago did Skate 3 come out? Its 2025 and the "new" Skate looks and plays exactly the same as Skate 3. All I can tell is its taken years just to remove the no.3 from the title!? Only best bit so far is the roof of the stadium and the tower next to the stadium. Basically this is just Skate 3 without the no.3
The issues that I'm having have brought me to the brink of insanity.
Instead of complaining, I'm just going to list the issues I have and pray to God that somebody has a solution. FPS usually locked to 30 until I switch the Global Graphics preset to Ultra. After I manage to unlock my FPS, there is insane input lag and frame drops, even on low settings. Animations in-game look like they're in slow-mo. Can't set refresh rate higher than 119hz on native resolution (2560x1440), but can set it to a wide range of options at a lower resolution. I've been trying to fix this BS for hours at this point, please help me. I'll attach a short video showcasing the bugs. My ID in game is SauceMajin As you can see from the picture, my textures are very bugged. I have seen a few people in these threads talk about this but no solution has been given. Even restarting the game has gotten me nowhere. The textures can get so bad where they impede my vision of everything.
Windows and doors occasionally/often glitch into walls for no reason
I'm having this issue where my windows and doors will become part of the wall and I have to go onto build mode and select, and put back down in the exact same spot they were then it's fine, then another window/door will do the exact same any reason why?? I'm not using mods/cc as I'm on console, and build cheats are switched off, proving it's a perfectly fine place to have said window/door without conflicts? It also happens to both inside and outdoor doors
Skate lost its soul — feels like Sims with loot boxes
Progression is a mess: stamp cards, loot boxes, endless grind. No soul, just live-service filler. The only fun is exploring rooftops and finding creative spots — that’s the real Skate vibe. But the storefront setup and weird Sims/Fortnite art style? Totally off. Only plus: gameplay and controls are tight. Look at the success of THPS 1+2 and 3+4 — stick to the core. When people were screaming SKATE SKATE SKATE in EA comments, they wanted the original Skate experience, not this dumbed-down live-service nonsense.Plain and simple I just want my money back. This game is absolutely terrible.
Im playing on the ps4 pro... The reactiveness of the controls are a nightmare. Pumping is non existent. And its like everything is sooo f**** slow and boring. The city is dead. But honestly i can bear to skate the city with how bad the mechanics are. I actually yelled in frustration because it wouldnt do what i told it to do in nearly ideal times. Honestly, i want my money back. Everything from the soundtrack, to the character design, color filter, abysmal mechanics, oh and did i mention i stop midway up a ramp completely even when i pump..... What's really sad is I know why you do it. You want this whole generation to have to relearn the mechanics so they'll spend more time on your game. Not realizing that you just made the biggest bust of a generation. Im actually upset. Oh and can we please talk about the fact that I bought the deluxe edition for 50 bucks and I did not get a single licensed board or trucks or wheels or anything.
