Textures/objects missing at the edge of camera
The game and replay cameras seem to be hyper aggressive at face culling and/or slow at placing textures. There are always textures popping in and out near the edges of view, especially with drastic camera movements. Sometimes entire objects will disappear before they're out of view or sometimes while center shot.UI artifacts on Skate. PC – AMD RX 7600 (DX12)
Hello EA Support Team, I would like to report a graphical issue occurring in Skate. on PC. Issue description: When playing Skate. on PC, I experience visual artifacts/glitches affecting only the user interface (HUD and menus). The 3D environment renders correctly, but UI elements flicker, show corrupted textures, or display graphical artifacts. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Skate. on PC 2. Enter gameplay or navigate through menus 3. Observe HUD/UI elements 4. UI artifacts appear consistently Expected result: UI and HUD elements should render normally without flickering or corruption. Actual result: UI/HUD elements display graphical artifacts while the rest of the game renders correctly. System configuration: - GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600 (RDNA 3) - Driver: AMD Adrenalin (latest version; issue also present in previous versions) - OS: Windows 11 (latest updates installed) - Graphics API: DirectX 12 (DX11 cannot be forced via launch options) - Display: 75 Hz monitor with FreeSync enabled - Platform: Steam Additional notes: - The issue occurs only in Skate., not in other games - Disabling FSR, HDR, post-processing effects, and AMD driver features does not fully resolve the issue - Limiting FPS and enabling V-Sync reduces the issue but does not eliminate it - The problem appears related to DX12 UI rendering on AMD RDNA 3 GPUs Frequency: 100% reproducible Thank you for your time and support. Please let me know if logs, screenshots, or additional information are needed. Best regards, RodrigoEmbarrassing content
I have been part of this game community for over two years now, participating since the PC and then console playtests. Yet, despite vast amounts of user feedback, the quality of in-game items remains stubbornly poor. The recent Valentine’s Day cosmetics, like too many in-game assets, are mawkish designs of shamefully low quality, sold at exorbitant prices. Honestly, it’s embarrassing. I have friends that ask me what the game is like and whether I’d recommend it, and again - honestly? The answer is no. I have stuck with it as I have played every Skate since 1, giving the new title constructive feedback both here on the forums and on surveys, along with encouragement when things go right. But, it just doesn’t seem to be changing. Full Circle/EA: if this game is in early development and this is indeed only the first iteration of what we can expect, you need to give us clearer development updates on what’s coming and what the target is. Right now, we only receive quarterly updates, and these only serve as teasers for planned content of a style and tone that has been widely panned by your actual playerbase. For the ‘we hear you’ refrain to actually mean something, we need to see signs that you are actually listening. We need engagement that’s more than a weekly blog post about competitions and store updates, or vague roadmaps about incremental feature drip. We need to understand why the game looks and feels the way it does and why it differs so much from the 2022 teaser that everyone loved. What is your vision, and where do you see the title going? A great deal of the anger around here is avoidable. Instead of relentless spin, you need to acknowledge player frustrations and be upfront about how you’re going to address them. Instead, all we are hearing is static.Visual glitch (mostly in menu)
For the last 3 days for some reason, the menu started glitching randomly. panels from one section blacked out in another section, visual "artifacts" and flickering, it makes the menu unusable, including the map, skater edit and objectives. I've tried turning V-sync on and off, verified game files 3 times, it doesn't happen in any other game, just Skate. GPU driver is up to date and hasn't been updated recently.249Views8likes5CommentsGame Crashing on Launch
Playing on Xbox one, was never an issue 2 weeks ago but since the update it doesn't get past the loading screen and crashes to dashboard. Tried literally everything in the book, even reset MAC settings to no avail. I'm on my 7th re install to try again (update; nothing worked) EA, do you guys ever try and make things better for users, or do you make things progressively difficult for users on purpose? Back to skate 2 I go! My feedback is this; Actually listen to user feedback and don't assume you think you know best, because judging by your Xbox reviews and ps reviews, you clearly don't. (2.8/5 for such a pre hyped game, shows immediate failure)Night Mode
A night mode (or evening/dusk) would make the map feel very different without having to actually change any of the map. It would need to be light enough to see within a certain radius around your skater, but dark enough to obscure the distance and have a different feel. Could be a bonus if you could place floodlights as moveable objects.
