SKATE. Crashing entire PC on Launch
Devs, I have an AMD CPU (9800X3D) and an NVIDIA 5080, 64gb RAM, 2TB SSD. If I want to play SKATE. I must launch the game and then quickly open up a different program so it's in the foreground while SKATE. loads up in the background. If I mess this up and forget to open the secondary program sometimes the game just crashes and gives me a DirectX Error talking about how there was an improper command that tried to destroy my GPU or my GPU was physically removed from the system (It was not.) I wanted to make this clear here because I can see a PC Newbie trying SKATE, it crashing his entire computer and him being afraid to ever try to launch SKATE. ever again. It was scary the first few times because I thought I was locked out of the game. It first happend on Steam so I switched to EA App and thought I fixed it for good because the problem stopped for a long time. Right around Season 3 is when I started having issues launching the game again this 2nd time around. I have turned off XMP because someone online said something about a memory leak if you have XMP turned on. I also notice the game SKATE. doesn't automatically show up in the NVIDIA app and I had to manually add it, once I did it doesn't have any of the normal driver settings for the game like other games do, it's almost like it doesn't recognize it as a full game and isn't sure if the NVIDIA Control Panel settings will adhere to the game SKATE. Wondering if we could figure this one out because I would hate to see a future Pro San Van Skater just give up because of this. :) Love, boneyardx0 (#hippyjumpparkour, #griptapemafia)Mesh/Physics issue with HUF Camo Football Jersey.
Since the beginning of Season 4, Ive noticed a weird "spiky" object happening around the player whenever I skate around and I discovered it was the HUF Camo Football Jersey. One of the vertices seems to go crazy whenver Im faraway from the player and it will disappear whenever I come close to them. Ive attached a video to see it in motion.8Views0likes0CommentsCamera Angle Glitch After the Season 04 Update
On a favorite course I’d flown over 100 times in Season 03, while jumping in mid-air, the camera used to be positioned behind the character facing forward. However, after the Season 04 update, for some reason, the camera now stays locked in a top-down view looking up from above and won’t switch back. Because of this, I can’t see what’s ahead, I can’t land, and I can’t enjoy the game at all anymore. What’s more, as if to rub it in, the camera angle only returns to normal when I fail and miss the target by a wide margin. It’s infuriating. Is this a lag issue or a bug? Can it be fixed in the settings? Why was it changed? This is the worst. After repeated testing, I discovered that whenever my character turns sideways in mid-air, the camera is inexplicably forced into a top-down view, making it impossible to see what’s ahead. In Season 03, even when the camera angle changed in mid-air, it never switched to a top-down view that blocked my forward vision. No matter how I adjust the camera settings, I can’t fix this at all. Regardless of whether this behavior is intentional, it is clearly a regression and should be fixed immediately. Because of this bird's-eye view, all the Quick Drop courses I designed for the fun of high-speed jumps toward targets and leaning my body diagonally or sideways have been completely ruined, and I feel absolutely terrible.Graphic UI Glitches/Bugs
Not sure if anyone else has been experiencing this since the release of season 4, but there have been so many UI glitches for me every time I load into skate or most of the time. (I happen to be on XBOX btw.) These photos are some evidence of how the graphics and UI bug out for me. It’s really distracting whenever you’re playing or scrolling through the skate store or map, or anything really, it gets in the way. It’s pretty bad. Sometimes it’ll even mess with the filter of the game and turn my whole game into a pink filter. It’s even made random arrows and random shapes where the normal icons for things should be. If anyone sees this please respond to let me know I’m not the only person experiencing this 😭Game refuses to OPEN unless I have another tab in the foreground.
Hey devs, Skater boi Boneyardx0 here with a bug I've been dealing with for quite some time now. I'm on PC. I have a AMD CPU and an NVIDIA GPU. (9800X3D CPU w/ a 5080 in it.) If I forget to open a browser tab or something to focus my PC elsewhere while the game loads in the background, the game just won't launch. It'll try but then it'll just stop and give me an error that says: "An improper command to the GPU has caused a problem" something about my GPU being destroyed or physically not in slot? Even though it is. The funny thing is the game runs fine and perfect once I load it up in the background. I never crash or ever have any game breaking issues. I just worry there are PC N00Bs out there who will attempt to play SKATE. and have this weird bug happen to them and them think their PC is trash or busted or the game is busted. If you or anyone you know is struggling to get into the game passed the Splash screen, please refer them here so they can try and get into the game officially.12Views0likes0CommentsSomeone managed to set down an unreleased Throwdown spot in the server
Stumbled across a throwdown spot in the server that someone managed set down while I was playing. As far I remember, that thing will only come during the mid-season. I tried it to see if it works but I was the only player who accepted it (1 /2) with the player who created it was greyed out. I declined it afterwards and now, It wont let me start any challenges or missions (the Y or triangle prompt didnt show in the screen) unless I restart the game.13Views0likes0CommentsVery Low Framerate in San Van- PS4
After this update, the game is unplayable on PS4. The textures take an eternity to load and the framerate is always dropping hard. It's so bad that the game usually feels like it's in slow motion. The Isle of Grom is the only thing that's playable for me now.62Views5likes3Comments
