Multiple Game-Breaking Bugs on PS4 and PS5
Platform: PS4 and PS5 I’ve been experiencing multiple severe issues in The Sims 4 on both PS4 and PS5. These problems have been happening across different gameplay sessions and often force me to completely restart the game, causing me to lose progress. Create-a-Sim Issues: The camera frequently freezes and will not move around my Sim. I cannot properly rotate or zoom to view outfits. If I switch to a category such as nails, the camera remains stuck in that position instead of returning to a normal full-body view. This makes it difficult to create Sims and review clothing, makeup, and accessories. Gallery Issues: While browsing the Gallery and viewing Sims or builds, the game sometimes becomes completely unresponsive. The game loads pack information but then freezes. No buttons respond and I cannot exit the Gallery or open menus. The only solution is to close and restart the game. Build Mode Issues: The sledgehammer and sell tools randomly stop functioning. I hear the sound effect when deleting or selling objects, but nothing happens. Sometimes objects immediately reappear after I attempt to remove them. Leaving and re-entering Build Mode does not fix the issue. Gameplay and UI Issues: Controls such as L2 and R2 stop responding. Speed controls stop working. Menus become unresponsive. The game appears active but many functions no longer work. Saving and Loading Issues: Saving can become stuck indefinitely. Manage Worlds sometimes refuses to load. Loading screens continue for a long time without progressing. The music may stop, the loading animation may freeze, and the game never finishes loading. I often have to force close the game and lose unsaved progress. Visual Issues: Text occasionally appears blurry or distorted. Loading screen elements and logos sometimes appear visually glitched. These issues have occurred on both PS4 and PS5, which makes me think this may not be a console-specific problem. I wanted to report these bugs to see if other players are experiencing similar issues and to help the team investigate possible causes.
Issue with Newcrest
Terribly sorry, I do not know the finer terminology. I started a build in Newcrest, on the Oak Alcove lot next to Comfy Cubby. I noticed as I moved the camera around that I kept catching a blue line in the grass. On closer inspection, it appears to be a stick shaped hole in the ground revealing some kind of blue mesh. It does not persist when moving down into the basement level, and also stopped happening after I went to the world manager to reload the lot. It did happen again in the same spot on the ground after reloading my game. I had no means to take a picture but I hope this was descriptive enough.innanimate objects not loading (invisible)
During my gameplay, I'll load onto my home lot, for example, and only half the furniture in my living room is there. The rest is invisible and unclickable. Loading times vary between 10s-3min. Sims don't load visibly so my sim looks like she's speaking with herself. She will be cooking nothing at all on the stove, and putting a fork into thin air on the table when eating. It's happening all the time. I use macbook.SKATE. Crashing entire PC on Launch
Devs, I have an AMD CPU (9800X3D) and an NVIDIA 5080, 64gb RAM, 2TB SSD. If I want to play SKATE. I must launch the game and then quickly open up a different program so it's in the foreground while SKATE. loads up in the background. If I mess this up and forget to open the secondary program sometimes the game just crashes and gives me a DirectX Error talking about how there was an improper command that tried to destroy my GPU or my GPU was physically removed from the system (It was not.) I wanted to make this clear here because I can see a PC Newbie trying SKATE, it crashing his entire computer and him being afraid to ever try to launch SKATE. ever again. It was scary the first few times because I thought I was locked out of the game. It first happend on Steam so I switched to EA App and thought I fixed it for good because the problem stopped for a long time. Right around Season 3 is when I started having issues launching the game again this 2nd time around. I have turned off XMP because someone online said something about a memory leak if you have XMP turned on. I also notice the game SKATE. doesn't automatically show up in the NVIDIA app and I had to manually add it, once I did it doesn't have any of the normal driver settings for the game like other games do, it's almost like it doesn't recognize it as a full game and isn't sure if the NVIDIA Control Panel settings will adhere to the game SKATE. Wondering if we could figure this one out because I would hate to see a future Pro San Van Skater just give up because of this. :) Love, boneyardx0 (#hippyjumpparkour, #griptapemafia)
Mesh/Physics issue with HUF Camo Football Jersey.
Since the beginning of Season 4, Ive noticed a weird "spiky" object happening around the player whenever I skate around and I discovered it was the HUF Camo Football Jersey. One of the vertices seems to go crazy whenver Im faraway from the player and it will disappear whenever I come close to them. Ive attached a video to see it in motion.
