New Pack Idea - Nobility
I’d love to suggest a new expansion pack centered around monarchy, nobility, and aristocratic life — think Versailles, The Great, Marie Antoinette, and Bridgerton vibes all in one. A pack that brings elegance, hierarchy, and scandal to The Sims. Pack Name Ideas: Sims 4: Royal Court Sims 4: Nobles & Thrones Sims 4: Courtly Life Core Features: Royal Titles & Social Ranks: Let Sims inherit or earn titles like King/Queen, Duke/Duchess, Count/Countess, or Lady/Lord. Titles could unlock specific interactions, dress codes, and expectations. Courtly Life Gameplay: Royal balls, etiquette training, tea parties, scandals, arranged marriages, and political alliances — with consequences depending on choices and behavior. Lineage & Succession: Family legacy matters! Introduce mechanics for heirs, coronations, and dynastic family trees. Court Intrigue: Add drama with betrayal, secret affairs, gossip systems, duels, and social strategy. New Aspirations/Traits: “Aspire to Rule,” “Schemer,” “Graceful,” or “Power-Hungry.” Traits that impact how Sims thrive (or fail) in noble society. Build/Buy & CAS Ideas: Architecture: Lavish palaces, sprawling gardens, gilded halls, ballrooms, servant quarters, ornate fountains. Fashion: Extravagant hairstyles, corsets, embroidered coats, delicate gloves, lace fans, tiaras, and royal robes — across eras (Tudor, Rococo, Victorian). Objects: Thrones, banquet tables, harpsichords, scrolls, crests, canopy beds, royal portraits, vanity tables. World Idea: A new historical-inspired world with a palace district, noble manors, and peasant villages. Maybe a European-style countryside with hidden catacombs, hunting grounds, and a town square for public events (or scandals 👀). Would love to hear what others would add to this!17Views5likes0Comments💡 Ideas > ♂️ Man lifestyle for The Sims

I really like the idea of an add on that is solely based around dog grooming. I’m not sure how difficult that could be to make but here are some ideas. adding on to the cats and dogs pack: -able to start a dog grooming business -having different styles of dog grooms and what dog grooms suit each breed and being able to choose from the options ea displays. -being able to level up in dog grooming skill. -the sims using actions such as shaving and scissor cutting -doing it step by step such as.. 1.bath 2.blow dry 3.shaving/scissor cutting 4.spraying with a cologne of your choice. -having good or bad moodlets depending on if the sim got what they wanted out of the grooms and the smells of the colognes. (Maybe depending on their likes and dislikes?) -some dogs act up during their grooms and some don’t? (Potentially adding biting, moving around a lot etc.) Just an idea as it would be cool to be able to do something like this 😊29Views3likes4CommentsWhy Do I Have to Manage My DLC on Steam?
I recently bought the legacy bundle over on steam which came with grunge revival kit. However I play my game on EA app thus all my dlc are connected to it only this one kit tells me to manage on steam under "manage add-ons" options in EA app, is there a way I can download the kit WITHOUT downloading the whole game from steam?DLC content disappearing
Multiple packs that have purchased have been getting removed and items from my creations are being deleted. I paid for these items and I have owned them for months/ years! what is going on? it's like you all are deleting the packs and their content. I worked so hard on my creations I could cry rn 😢Native American / Indigenous pack
I would love to see a Native American with all the tribes like Spokane, Cherokee, Sioux from US including Alaska, Canada and even Mexico like the Aztecs and the Mayans. The one thing that I love about the Native American tribes that they don't waste what they hunt. They use everything. What would be in this pack: Teepees, Wigwams, Long Houses (Coastal like Salish, Haida, Tlingit) etc.. Clothing from Deer, Bear etc, hair style braids,, beaded jewelry or regular clothes etc. Animals: horses, dogs as well as bears. wolves and buffalo aka bison etc. Food: Buffalo, Deer meat (venison), Fish, Fry bread (yummy), fruits and veggies etc.. Fun stuff to do or visit: Pow wow, Tribal gathering, Drum circle, Dancing (Jingle,. Fancy Shawls etc.) for the women, Tiny Tots dance for the kids etc... For more info; Pow Wow Dance Style I think this will be a fun learning experience for everyone Non-Indian and alike. Feel free to add to the list.106Views5likes6CommentsCross-Platform DLC Transfers for The Sims 4
Dear Reader, As a dedicated Sim player for over 18 years, I genuinely love and enjoy the game. While I've occasionally been frustrated by some updates (or the lack thereof), nothing has been more disheartening than the inability to transfer purchased packs across platforms. I currently play on PlayStation but have been considering switching to PC/Mac for greater convenience, especially when traveling. However, I was shocked to discover that the significant investment I've made in The Sims 4 content—over $1,400 across expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits—would not carry over to a new platform. This limitation is both frustrating and discouraging for loyal players like myself. What is the point of having an EA account if it doesn't provide the flexibility to access purchased content across platforms? The idea of repurchasing the same DLC content for another $1,400 is unreasonable and alienating to devoted fans. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would offer more advantages than drawbacks: Player Loyalty and Customer Appreciation: The Sims franchise thrives on its passionate and loyal player base. Allowing cross-platform pack transfers would show that EA values and appreciates its most dedicated players. Increasing Player Engagement: Players are more likely to engage with the game on multiple platforms when their content carries over. This flexibility enhances the player experience, encouraging greater long-term involvement in the game. Consistency with Industry Trends: Cross-platform play and transferable purchases are becoming industry standards. Major gaming companies such as Epic Games, Microsoft, and Ubisoft have embraced this model, making it easier for players to access their content across different devices. EA should follow suit to remain competitive and player-focused. Convenience for Players on the Go: Gaming isn't confined to a single device anymore. Many players, myself included, would love to play The Sims 4 while traveling or on road trips by simply hotspotting a laptop to a phone. Without cross-platform content, this becomes nearly impossible for console players. Protection Against Piracy: The current system inadvertently encourages players to seek unauthorized ways to access their paid content on other platforms. Offering a legitimate solution for transferring packs would reduce the incentive for piracy. Increased DLC Sales: Players who have the flexibility to use their packs across platforms are more likely to continue purchasing new content rather than feeling alienated by platform restrictions. Improved Customer Satisfaction: Happy customers are more likely to recommend the game and remain loyal to the franchise. Allowing pack transfers would address a significant pain point for many players, fostering a more positive relationship with the EA brand. I understand that some might argue I should simply remain on PlayStation, but it's not always practical. Being able to hotspot my laptop during travel and play like so many other players would be a game-changer for me. I appreciate the hard work the team puts into developing new content, and I'm more than willing to continue supporting The Sims series financially. However, I cannot justify paying twice for the same content. Loyal fans deserve a better solution. I sincerely hope EA will consider addressing this issue and providing a solution that benefits the entire player base. Thank you for your time and for listening to this long-time player's concerns. ~ Haley117Views4likes27CommentsWhat Packs Do You Recommend For Me?
General discussion gets very often, if not daily, some threads where simmers ask for help about what pack they should buy 😊 Specific packs or from all the packs . What is of course a great thing to ask, however, would be nice if all those asks were all at same place.😉 This thread is for this purpose, tell us your playstyle or any detail you wish, to make it easier to give you suggestions 😊 Also here something to help you with the decision : https://simscommunity.info/2024/02/26/sims-4-pack-guide/422Views9likes30Comments
