Cannot Edit Restaurant Lots
Whenever I enter build/buy mode on restaurant-type lots, I cannot save my progress. I cannot save my custom menu nor edit any of the uniforms. Yes, I play with Mods/CC, but I also ran multiple tests to remove any bad mods or CC. I cannot save my progress; I have to force restart my computer. I cannot delete the lot in edit world mode either.
Newest Update: "Failed to Launch Game" Error
I tried to start my game and it was stuck on a black screen. I tried to close the game and restart but it wouldn't close so I had to restart my entire PC to try to open the game after 3 tries I went to Steam to see if anyone else was dealing with this then I saw your newest update on Mon, March 23rd. I checked the comments and almost every single person is having the same problem. Some have no custom content and others do (like me), it is not because of custom content it is just the game seems to be broke for a large group. I have over 1,000 mods/custom content and my game ran just fine before the update. That is all. Hopefully this helps fix the problem.
I LEARNED HOW TO FIX THE BUUGGGS
Okay, so after many hours of sorting through files and being pissed off, my game was able to open up without the mods folder and I figured out a fix that at least works for me. Go into setting and switch from DirectX11 to DX9. This helps the game see all the script (that have been updated) and package files that the DX11 had overlooked because it messes with graphics and older models in a weird way. This also made it where the Error message wouldn't pop up and crash the game from the EA app. I hope this helps you guys :) These posts are everywhere but im trying to tell the people the british are coming.Broken and Updated Sims 4 Mods and CC: patch 1.121, Feb. 3, 12 & 19, 2026

Blue Box Glitch
UPDATE: issues have been fixed after repairing game, removing mods out of the folder then re-adding them! I just opened up my sims game for the first time in about a week and when I go to load/play one of my households I get this blue box that shows up. I click on the household to load the game but it will show the loading screen for a few seconds before bringing me back to the map again. I’ve tried loading a different household and that one doesn’t seem to load at all and will be stuck in the loading screen. The only mods (I think this is a mod at least) I play with are food mods that allow my sims to cook more recipes than what the game itself provides. The only other modifications I make to my game is downloading CC items. I tried removing my mod folder and it let me load the glitching blue box save but of course then my sim looks fresh out of the womb as all the clothes, hair, makeup, etc. is gone as well as half the stuff in her house. I tried putting the CC back while leaving the food stuff out and it’s still glitching out. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here as I’ve never had this happen even after a Sims update has taken place. Also want to note I recently moved my entire game onto an external hard drive so I’m not sure if that’s what caused the issue but I’ve seen other people talking about these issues after the most recent update and they haven’t moved anything so I don’t think that was what caused it.
