Placing candles on cakes are difficult
Hi team, in the future Food and Dining bug overhaul, i hope some work can be done regarding the rule that cakes must be centered when adding candles / toppers. I find that this is not working well as sometimes the cake will be centered, and you are still not able to place the candles (as you can see in pics). Given that the sims don't directly interact with the cake, it would be nice if this restriction could be removed since it is really difficult to move the cake around (even when it is exactly centered) and have to switch to different tables just to be able to use the cake. Happens with counters, desks, tables and the cake stand from Party Essentials.
Random Active Sim Death, No Grim
I was playing a household of 5 Sims and 1 pet and while I was not actively focused on the Sim in question, I am confident there was no reason for her to die. I received no warning message (i.e. "Sim is dying of X."), Grim did not appear, there was no collapse or event (fire, meteor, etc) - I just got the "Sim has died" popup asking me if I wanted her to be a playable ghost or freeroaming ghost. She had high needs, was a young adult, and was just mid-conversation. She was in a playful mood but I don't think she was hysterical, and again, I didn't get a "dying of laughter" notification. Just the ghost popup. There is an elder Sim in the household who is about to die of old age; not sure if she somehow got his death or if this was a coincidence. I already exited without saving to get her back so I don't have a save file to share with this incident.Sim keeps resetting randomly
While playing in live mode the played Sim just randomly resets during different tasks (task list clears out, the Sim changes position, sometimes just barely visible, sometimes jumps a room, like with the "resetSim" command). This also appeared while interacting with another Sim while doing romantic actions like kissing/hugging and then they stand behind one another back to back with all tasks cleared. I could not find a way to force this to happen, it just randomly does. Note by crinrict Resets are usually a symptom of an error. Please provide more information. Please read the first post carefully and post in the thread that reflects your issue best. Go in order from top to bottom if you see multiple of the symptoms. Lots start to get deleted, causing endless loading, loading into empty lots or Error Codes 800/801. Where to post It seems that in order to better track the causes for this issue, separate threads are needed. You do not need to repost any info you already posted here. This issue is not mod caused but it can be influenced by mods and cheats, especially if you create lots of Residential Rental units in your save game. Save Game Size. The issue usually typically happens on larger save games. There are a few factors that contribute to save game size that you can keep an eye on Lots of huge houses with lots of objects: Try to keep those down. Consider using empty houses for set decoration if you don't play certain lots but want houses to make it look nicer Photos Sims take ingame. Try to only keep the photos you really like and that contribute to your gameplay. Delete everything else. Photos take up a lot of space in the save. Lots of Sims. The game creates Sims at abundance. Delete the ones you don't use from time to time. Usually there's nothing you can do once it starts happening. After about an hour or so of game play household items suddenly become blurry looking. I have to restart my game to fix it. It takes about 15-20 minutes for me to load back into my game and then this happens again about an hour later. Despite this issue being marked as fixed, I am still experiencing this issue with my Sim toddlers. I’m playing with twins right now and while they both can run, the Learn to Run Milestone won’t complete. Because of that, the Maxed Movement Skill Milestone also will not populate or complete. Infants not falling asleep in crib (try go night night)
Since the new update, I've checked in with all of my sim homes with infants (3) and all of them who were in bed, sleeping, were found sitting up, awake. This happens all the time with the toddler sims, but as soon as you unpause the game, the toddlers lie back down and fall asleep immediately. However, I had to tell the infants to 'try to go night night.' Also, I purchased the new infant play mat for all 3 households and now the infants will not fall asleep in their cribs when they're put down - fed with clean diapers, energy down to about half, etc., all ready for bed. I'm having to tell them to 'try to go night night' even though the 'action' says they are trying. I get a warning about putting the infant down for a nap, but they have been, they're just not falling asleep like they used to. They do usually have a cry, and the parent soothes them, but this is different. They are in 'happy' mode and are just not falling asleep. Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title to better reflect the issue
