"Child Sims left home alone cannot be played."
This has never been the case before, and started showing up after the last patch. When loading a game, where a child Sim was previously elsewhere (at a park etc) without a parent, the lot loads but NO active Sims are present, and the child's only option is "Care for self", they can not be returned to the lot. You have to click the arrow to either bring an adult to the lot you're on, or load into the lot the adult is on to regain access to the children (as if they were toddlers/infants). If you load to the parent, the children are still recognized as at the other location, and must be brought to the parent to be regained. From the manage worlds screen, selecting a child in any household looks like this: When clicking play on the family, the dialogue box to select which family member is show, but all children Sims have the same "cannot be played" message, and you MUST select an adult. Children are again still in their previous location, and must be brought to the adult to go back to wherever else they were and continue playing (away from the adult) as usual. For family gameplay, this is highly disruptive.High school years - event stops Sims from being able to attend classes on time.
Please EA I need your help to fix my game! The high school years is one of my all time favourite packs and since the last update that contained a bug fix to allow multiple teens to attend school and have their own school time lines in the top left corner. Since this update I have noticed you have changed this to a event which has caused multiple issues for my game. It still doesn't show up for more than one teen. I no longer know what time anything is and my teens are constantly late to lessons and it is increasingly difficult to be a good or bad student when there are no continuous tasks throughout the school day as well as no tasks at all when you play with two or more teens on the active lot. I have also noticed there is a lot of lag and I have to wait ages to move my teens once I have arrived to the high school lot as they are stuck and I cannot click on anything or move them. I have also experienced a lot of lag with lesson times and my teens are not finishing school until 5/6pm. Please if I could just have this patch update which changed all of this scrapped from my game I would be much happier with that, even if you could send this to my account privately I would really appreciate it and this completely broken my high schools years pack and I don't think I can play Sims without it. To clarify I am on xbox series x with all packs and 5 kits. I was able to close and restart the game to fix this bug but it was concerning so I thought I would make a report anyways. So my sims were on vacation before the update that added the "nature's calling" event, and after the update they still were. I played for a while and then the vacation ended. I ended the vacation and sent them home as normal. When loading back onto my sims home lot I realized that all ui at the bottom of the screen was invisible, still there, but invisible. I could still use the controls to pause and unpause the game, and I regained control of my cursor by using the toggle cursor button on my Xbox controller, I initially could not use the cursor until I did this. All the ui at the top of the screen was unaffected except for the build mode option was greyed out, and when i hovered over it it said i could not build on this lot (the same message you get when you are on a vacation rental lot. So even tho my sims were on their home residential lot, i was still blocked from using build mode. That may be a separate bug in of itself. So the event tab, holiday tab, the manage worlds, free cam, was all unaffected. The picture of my active sim in the bottom left, notebook, phone, calender, the play and pause buttons, aspirations all the way to the retail management tab, where all invisible, but I could still hover over them and click. Clicking on anything that would normally pull up a menu (like the school/career tab) would not visibly show anything. I should also mention the xbox controls that usually are in the top right were also gone. I then went to manage worlds to reload my household and see if that was the issue. It was not. I clicked on my household and reloaded it twice and the controls were still invisible. I then went to the screen that shows all the world options, and was met with a completely white screen. At that point I exited to main menu without saving, hoping this would resolve it. I was then met with a completely blue main screen. At that point I closed the game entirely, and reloading seemingly fixed the issue. Upon reload I realized that the Emily pop up started again, even though I went to my game settings and saw that I had the option toggled off. Along with this the help center icon I had previously turned off was now toggled on again. Once again this part may be a separate bug entirely. I am unsure if this was caused by my sims going on vacation, me turning off Emily, or disabling the help center icon, or none of the above. But hopefully this helps someone.
[GTW] Sims leave job/school when joining active career
In my household, I have a sim who goes to work and two who go to school before the detective career starts. Since the latest update whenever I click “join” to go to work with my detective sim to play the career, it brings everyone who went to work/school home for the day (at 9am sims time). It’s just slightly frustrating as my sims are going down in performance at their jobs/school as a result. I’m just not sure if there’s a way to fix this or if I will have to wait for the next update. When some of my sims leave for school or work and then I go to travel with one of the remaining sims that's not at work, the other sims AT WORK/SCHOOL will return back to the house. It's causing them to get bad grades/poor work performance. I'm not sure what to do--I don't have any mods installed. I've restarted the sims game, my computer, install and reinstall and it still is happening.
UI Exception 1069: UI Corruption while playing Scenario
I recently encountered an issue with UI disappearing after loading from any screen to LIve Mode. So far, I have encountered this when taking a photo, leaving Build Mode, and loading a lot from traveling. Some things to note: I play on PC and own every piece of DLC. My game is updated to the recent version. This is a fresh install of The Sims 4. I even deleted the game file in which Mods, Screenshots, Saves, etc. are held. The only thing I kept were tray files and accountDataDB.package. I have already repaired my game. I have tested this in several ways. I can only replicate the bug in a household currently in a Scenario. I can even play a household in the same save as a Scenario household and it seems to be unaffected. When this bug occurs, I have to refresh the game. Occasionally, I can exit to the main menu and it will be fine. Other times, exiting to the main menu causes a black screen and I have to force close the game. I would say this bug occurs 25%-50% of the time. I've included a screenshot of what the bug looks like as well as a lastUIException.txt of the bug.
[HSY] ThriftStore: Notification Spam for events/No customers
The Vendor now shows up at the Tea shop, but when my Sim arrives the Notifications spam Tea Shop Events - regardless or day or time - and whichever event spams last is what happens. Hello, every time I go to build mode then back to live mode, everything disappears I can’t see there needs, work, school, simology, relationships, aspirations, start pause speedups, the cell phone calendar notebook, household funds, the sims selection and the action sections. Iv also noticed the sims saying they can’t move when nothing is blocking them, the actions not working properly the sim freezes. Iv checked for update and it’s all updated. I’m on a ps5 slim digital. Please fix :)
