Save Game Corruption (Disappearing Lots/Error 800 or 801)
Problem The save game starts to disintegrate itself. Lots start to get deleted, causing endless loading, loading into empty lots or Error Codes 800/801. The problem usually starts in Willow Creek and then goes on to other lots. There are several symptoms of this issue as outlined in these AHQ threads Default Lots Showing in Surrounding World [NEEDS SAVES] Orange/Green Exclamation signs over lots / Houses disappear [FR] Corrupted lot/Houses disappear Map doesn't update changes to lots/ Can't change lot type Lots randomly revert back to defaults Llama pictures on lots(possibly also incomplete installation - repair your game first) Troubleshooting The issue is really hard to pinpoint but there are a few things that can accelerated the issue. This issue is not mod caused but it can be influenced by mods and cheats, especially if you create lots of Residential Rental units in your save game. Save Game Size. The issue usually typically happens on save games > 200 MB. There are a few factors that contribute to save game size that you can keep an eye on Lots of huge houses with lots of objects: Try to keep those down. Consider using empty houses for set decoration if you don't play certain lots but want houses to make it look nicer Photos Sims take ingame. Try to only keep the photos you really like and that contribute to your gameplay. Delete everything else. Photos take up a lot of space in the save. Lots of Sims. The game creates Sims at abundance. Delete the ones you don't use from time to time. Usually there's nothing you can do once it starts happening.
no "use inutition' option
I have an issue where only one of my sims doesn't have the option to 'use intuition' on the Guardian Tree and Edith's headstone. All of the other sims in the household are able to select this option but it just doesn't show up as one for this specific sim. She has already received the tarot from the book shrine. Additionally, she doesn't have the option of starting the Order of Lenore tasks with the members of the Order of Lenore while all my other sims do. I don't have any CC or Mods.[CL] [DU] [FR] [ECO] Objects cluttering worlds
Problem Objects in worlds start to clutter the world. These are items such as bikes, collectibles, plants, food and drinks. They can't be deleted as they are outside of a lot and even spawn on top of each other. These objects are left behind by NPCs or active Sims while actively playing either of these lot types Apartments (San Myshuno, Evergreen Harbor) Residential Rentals Dorms This also affects festivals, food stalls, rinks, snowmen & angles and pile of leaves. Solution There's currently no known solution other than cleaning the neighborhoods up with either mods that give you options to delete objects outside of lots or using S4Studio. There is no solution on Console. Cleaning up is a lot of work and the litter just comes back if you play on one of these lot type so it might not be worth going through this until the underlying bug is fixed. Prevent (Untested) Don't play in any of the above lot types. Grocery Delivery Person Keeps Groceries
I kept ordering grocery deliveries and couldn't find the bag to unload. The last time it happened I watched the delivery person more closely and realized the bag was simply disappearing after my Sim accepted delivery. I added him to my family and checked his inventory and sure enough, there are 5 grocery bags in his inventory from the failed deliveries. He's just hoarding them instead of delivering them.
The Sims 4 fails to launch
I've been experiencing an issue where The Sims 4 won't launch at all. Every time I try to open the game, it redirects me back to the EA App without starting. This has been happening for a couple of months now, but I had honestly given up and haven't played since September (I believe). Yesterday I decided to try again and the issue persists. I play on MAC and here's what I've tried so far: Repaired the game using the EA App. Uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4 Updated the game Closed everything for a couple hours Forced quit both the EA app and The Sims 4 Removed all mods and custom content. I attached down below the file I found in The Sims 4 folder after trying to launch it. And finally here's a screenshot of the message after I just tried to open it. It says there's an error on EA's end but I haven't been able to open my game for months so I'm not sure what to do anymore.
Sims Take Laundry to the Bathtub
This just occurred I didn't see anything about it on the forums at first glance. My sim just repaired the dryer and since the laundry was dirty again, I had her unload the dryer expecting her to put it on the ground so I could have her add it back to the washer. Instead, my sim took it up the stairs to the bathtub and then proceeded to take a bath while still having the action of unloading the dryer. She did not have low hygiene and autonomy is off. Playing on Mac with no mods.
[LD] Can't ask Freddy about Alice Sorrow
I am trying to complete Alice's Sorrow Quest. I have to talk with Freddy, which is one of her kids but I can't select the "Ask about Alice’s Sorrow" option. It's not active on Freddy, so I can't continue the task. Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title, Adjusted Title
[LS] LE/Reset when trying to do romantic interactions
Play on PC. I purchased Lovestruck and the game updated. I haven’t played since before the update. When I played today, the woohoo and try for baby interaction is there on the sims and bed, but when you click on it the sims glitch and nothing happens. Unable to try for baby. Very disappointed that I can’t play anymore because of it. How am I supposed to continue my legacy family without being able to try for baby? Please fix this bug.
