Natures Calling Quest- Playing nature sounds from any radio doesn't work.

I'm having this issue with the nature calling quest. I can't listen to, or even just turn on to play on ANY radios or stereos the nature sounds. It's preventing me completing the quest I'm on currently because I have to listen to that and sleep.
I have run ALL updates, run a repair, tried several different types of stereos, at several different locations, on old and brand new game files. I even went so far as to uninstall and reinstall the entire game. That made it to where I could at least turn music on, but I cannot get the nature sounds to play at all. Please Help!

  • Hi Doxie

to be sure, you have the station but it doesn't play or do you not have the station ?

If you don't have the station, make sure to claim the reward first.

    Try the following

    - Close the game
    - Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    - Repair the game
    - Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
    - Start a new save game
    - Check if you still have the error
    - Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

I did as you said, and now I don't even have the Nature Calling Event or the nature station.

Go to your game settings and make sure online access is ticked. That probably reset.

You should still have the station though so maybe you need to reclaim it once you have the event back.

Ok, it did all come back. The online access was ticked, I'm not sure what was up but I have it all again. I still cannot just listen to the nature station though. Which has completely halted my progress in the event quests.

Very strange. Do you hear no sound or is there also no animation on the stereo or does the station not switch ?

Maybe you could post a video of what happens when you turn it on ?

  • Not sure if you sorted it already but you need to make sure you’ve claimed all the rewards from the quest. Once you’ve claimed the rewards nature soundscapes will be available on the radio.

I am having the same issue. I have completed the event to get the station. I have tried different radios on different surfaces. When my sim is commanded to turn on or listen to "Nature Soundscapes" she will approach the radio and then stop. The icon for the active tasks disappears and the radio does not play. I'm assuming it may be a possible mod conflict. Do you have your mods active when trying to complete the quest?

I helped a friend with the exact same issue.

Go to the sims 4 folder where your saves and mods and every thing is. Go one folder up and rename it to whatever you like. Sims 4 modded does it for me. Then go into the game which wont have your settings and mods for the moment, create a new save, create a simple sim, go into live mode and do the event.

If you need to cheat you can install UI cheats extension without issues. But more mods dont make sense.

After you are done with the event, go to the folder again and now you see the new Sims 4 folder the game created for your new save. Rename it to whatever you like. Sims 4 Event does it for me. Then rename the old folder to Sims 4. Now you have the rewards and your usual game.

Keep the event save folder for the next event.
