Dear EA/DICE: You’re Losing the Battlefield Community
Dear Developers, I want to start by saying that I honestly wish I didn’t have to write this post. I’m writing this as someone who’s genuinely sad and frustrated. It’s obvious that EA wanted to attract CoD players — and at first, I completely understood that and had no problem with it. My first impressions from the Beta were great, I was truly hyped, pre-ordered the Phantom Edition, and couldn’t wait for October 10th. Today I’m level 110, and I think it’s finally time to share my thoughts. I’ve been playing Battlefield for around 15 years, and my favorite will always be BF2 (RIP GameSpy). Well… we definitely got a product aimed at CoD players — but in the worst possible way. The TTK and TTD are absolutely miserable, the 4-player party limit is a joke, forced operator choices feel out of place, and there’s NO SERVER BROWSER! How can the lead producer say we don’t need one? I honestly thought it was a joke at first — and that the community feedback would be heard — but nothing ever happened. Matchmaking is a disaster. Every second match I play is completely unbalanced. There’s no option to pick the attacking or defending side without disconnecting and reconnecting a dozen times until it finally puts me where I want to be. This problem used to be handled by server admins through the browser — they helped keep matches fair and balanced. And don’t even get me started on the challenges. They’re an absolute pain to complete. I honestly don’t know if they were designed by an AI or by someone who’s never actually played the game, but they’re a complete tragedy. The overall pace of the game is way too fast, leaving almost no time for proper teamplay, even when you actually try to play tactically with friends. The gameplay experience feels on par with BF2042 — but ironically, that game still had more freedom. I honestly get the feeling that the developers haven’t played this game for more than 20 minutes… or worse, that this is intentional — which would be really sad and could bury the entire franchise. What also really disappoints me is the complete lack of developer feedback here on the forums. I understand you can’t respond to every single post, but it would be basic respect to at least address some of the hot topics here. Right now the community feels unheard, like our frustration just keeps piling up and EA leadership simply doesn’t care. Maps, maps, maps… This topic has already been brought up several times — and yeah, I wouldn’t say the maps are terrible, but they are really, really small and focused entirely on running and shooting with no sense of tactics whatsoever. As for the bugs, I’m still patient for now. We’re only in the first season, and I know updates will come — bugs happen in every game at launch. That said, I did expect a bit more polish for a 100€ title, but I can still understand it… for now. To end on a more positive note — the graphics are absolutely beautiful. I just wish we could enjoy this amazing world with more freedom, playing the way players want to play, not the way we’re being forced to. Please, developers — take a little time to listen to what players here on the forums are saying and what’s frustrating them. Otherwise, this could genuinely bury the whole franchise. Thank you for your time.3.5KViews111likes118CommentsBattlefield 6 Gameplay Changes Needed asap!
I have been playing Battlefield since the very first release, and it is extremely disappointing to see core gameplay elements in Battlefield 6 feeling broken. What I’m about to mention is not just my personal experience — these issues are widely discussed among many friends who also purchased the game. 1. Tank Repairs – Completely Unbalanced The current tank repair system is unrealistic and damaging to gameplay. Two players repairing a tank from behind while it is under fire makes the mechanic feel childish and removes any tactical depth. They have to remove on‑the‑fly tank repairs entirely, or make repairs significantly slower and more difficult. Alternatively, they should increase tank availability or increase the damage output of anti‑tank weapons. At the moment, destroying a tank that is constantly being repaired is nearly impossible. 2. Populated Bots – They should Remove Them When a server does not reach the required number of players, bots fill the remaining slots. This ruins the experience. We would all prefer to wait for real players rather than play with bots. Please give us the option to disable bots completely. 4. Bullet Damage – Too Low Gunfights feel weak and unsatisfying, as if we are firing BB guns. Please increase bullet damage so tactical engagements feel impactful and skill‑based rather than drawn‑out and arcade‑like. These changes would significantly improve the gameplay experience and bring Battlefield 6 closer to the tactical, immersive style that made the franchise great. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.Battlefield 6 weapons and attachments. We need more.
First off I have to say well done, battlefield has been extremely reviving in the PVP FPS category that I was literally starting to give up on due to 2042 and the rise/ repeat cycle of call of duties nonsense. I personally want to see this franchise thrive but the only way that this is going to happen is if it stay realistic. My main suggestion would be to offer groups such as GBRS to keep the weaponry up to date and realistic with certain attachments (suppressor). The game is going great, the weapon levelling for the first 20 levels was a great call that was addressed after the launch and I’m extremely grateful for the substance at hand. That being said, I come from the firearms community and there are so many fire-arms that I believe should exist in the realm of FPS. 1. AR-15 that is with the times. An M4A1 is just not deployed unless it’s in 2. We need an AR style DMR. I’m shocked that this didn’t make it to season 1. 3. The attachments seem very outdated and in some maps just not realistic at all. Unless we added magnification addictions rather than 45 degree offset iron sights. There needs to me more choose to optics. 4. Might as well add maps, we need maps period. and many more around the world including the Pacific with jungle gorilla warfare. 5. The battlefield that I love was always grounded in reality. So let’s do that. No more comparisons to COD. Thank you again for everything and reigniting the FPS world.Feedback and Suggestions for Battlefield 6
Hello to the dev team and the community! After spending several hours on Battlefield 6, I wanted to share some feedback and suggestions that I believe could make the overall experience even better. 1. Map Size, I find that the current maps are a bit too small. Fights often feel too confined and lack the strategic depth that made previous Battlefield titles so great. Larger maps would allow better vehicle usage and bring back that epic large-scale battle feeling the series is known for. 2. New and Classic Maps, While new maps are always welcome, it would also be amazing to see the return of some classic maps from older Battlefield games — such as Operation Metro or Laguna Presa. These iconic maps hold a lot of nostalgia for players and would add great variety to the current rotation. 3. New and Iconic Weapons, Adding new weapons would help refresh gameplay, but I’d also love to see the return of classic iconic weapons like the M1 Garand, M16A4, AS VAL, M98B, MP5K, F2000, L96A1, or XM8. These weapons were an important part of Battlefield’s identity and would be a welcome comeback for longtime fans. 4. Conquest System and Ribbons, Bringing back flag icons within conquest zones, as in older titles, would improve visibility and immersion during battles. Also, bringing back ribbons (earned for in-game actions) would be a great way to reward players for their specific playstyles and contributions to the team. 5. New Squads and Faction Variety, It would be great to add new squads within the factions, each with unique appearances, accents, and equipment. This could also be a perfect opportunity to bring back old class skins from previous Battlefield games, which added extra personality and variety to the soldiers. Overall, Battlefield 6 has a lot of potential, and with a few tweaks like these, it could feel even more authentic to the Battlefield spirit. Thanks to the devs for listening and for all their hard work!847Views7likes17CommentsNew maps - Dynamics Super Maps - random flags, 3 layers mechanisms like diablo.
iIts boring when nothing change on a map, all things or fixed and the layout is always the same... Every maps are the same but fortunately the gameplay is always different each game. My idea is like a 3 layers or 3 levels ( or more ) rotating or random elements ( floors or terrain ) that adjust itself with AI that analyze your gameplay and adjust the experience to your difficulty or increase hazardous gameplay. not coming from the players but the elements in the maps also interact with you, giving you more chances or less chances against players and elements on the map. Cheaters will have a more difficult time to stay alive but MORE OVER they cannot cheats AI elements on the map. these are called dynamics super maps. this idea is registered to my email and i keep a copy of my post.BF 6 sucks game
Following the latest update released for Battlefield 6, we would like to express several significant concerns and criticisms. As long-time supporters of the series and active members of the community, we must state that the current state of the game falls far below expectations. First and foremost, the acceleration–deceleration mechanics remain highly inconsistent. Despite the extensive development and testing period, this fundamental gameplay element still fails to function in a stable and coherent manner, which negatively affects the overall experience. The apparent attempt to imitate the pacing of Call of Duty: Black Ops further distances Battlefield from its unique identity, and this direction is not well-received by the community. Furthermore, the situation is not going to be resolved simply by removing a few nonsensical features or making superficial adjustments. You need to slow the game’s overall pace, redesign and expand the maps, and step away from this “Call of Duty mindset” that continues to undermine what Battlefield stands for. In addition, despite the new update, the core issues within the maps persist. We anticipated meaningful revisions in terms of balance, design, and playability; however, the continuation of these problems gives the strong impression that player feedback has not been adequately considered. Given these ongoing issues, we no longer feel that we are receiving the value of the price we paid. As the Battlefield community, we increasingly feel misled and overlooked. Should this approach continue, there is a real concern that the future of the series may soon follow a path similar to the negative trajectory that Call of Duty experienced — and Battlefield may face the same outcome in the near future. We respectfully request that player feedback be taken more seriously and that substantial improvements be made, ranging from core gameplay mechanics to map design, in order to restore the potential that the Battlefield franchise has always carried.289Views3likes7CommentsBattlefield 6 Has Tremendous Drop in players. Here's why
I've played battlefield since bad company and here's why this battlefield is dying .-Hit Registration (damage calculations or multiplyer is failing) -net code(being shot from around corners) -Bullet fall off damage(starts at 10 to 15 meters for most weapons a 25 base dmg weapon will do nearly 17 to 14dmg at 15 to 20 meters) -Team balancing(often in MP matches teams are losing by 600/700 tickets) -map spamming(operation firestorm, and 311 is heavily in the rotation.... playing 1 of the 2 every other match or 2. Especially when joining without custom search... youll be joining 1 of the 2 instantly) -Gun Play(The GunPlay is a coin toss or roll of dice due to all of the issues with gunplay alone.... netcode, bullet registration, bullet fall off damage and gun fire stuttering) -stuttering when Firing automatic weapons(when firing with an automatic weapon you'll notice a choppy like firing pattern even tho you're not letting off of the trigger) -interaction/opening loot boxes/ picking up items(in redsec you often have to double tap the pick up item/open loot box button or run back to the box or item if youre quickly trying to open loot or pick it up while on the move) -Vaulting(as mentioned above, vaulting over objects or out of windows have the same issue leading to multiple taps of the button if moving quickly) -Skins/Operators(players complain even myself that their is way too many women in this game and most of the skins sold is either corny or for women. Some of the best skins has gone to female operators and there's a reason you hardly see them on the battlefield. The community is waving money for elite male looking skins, not a drafted house wife. Players are asking to be able to select a gender) -Base Weapon DMG(Due to insane BFOD"Bullet Fall Off Damage" it is Extremely rare for the guns to have the base dmg output displayed in the stats. Meaning you'll hardly see a 25Dmg or 33 dmg weapon land the damage of its shots displayed in the weapon Stats and if you do... it wont be many. no battlefield has ever required so many bullets to kill) Redsec health and registration(Redsec by far has the worse bullet registration, and net code issues which may make players feel like their target is "tanky". 200 health in both gauntlet and redsec should be dropped to 150HP which is 100 hp combined with armored plates and the 2 plates inserted equaling 25hp per plate) subscribe on YouTube @OfficialHvt on either Facebook or YouTube to see the investigations and proofs of these issues pin pointed Thanks for Reading! -Hvt456Views3likes30Comments
