Dear EA/DICE: You’re Losing the Battlefield Community
Dear Developers, I want to start by saying that I honestly wish I didn’t have to write this post. I’m writing this as someone who’s genuinely sad and frustrated. It’s obvious that EA wanted to attract CoD players — and at first, I completely understood that and had no problem with it. My first impressions from the Beta were great, I was truly hyped, pre-ordered the Phantom Edition, and couldn’t wait for October 10th. Today I’m level 110, and I think it’s finally time to share my thoughts. I’ve been playing Battlefield for around 15 years, and my favorite will always be BF2 (RIP GameSpy). Well… we definitely got a product aimed at CoD players — but in the worst possible way. The TTK and TTD are absolutely miserable, the 4-player party limit is a joke, forced operator choices feel out of place, and there’s NO SERVER BROWSER! How can the lead producer say we don’t need one? I honestly thought it was a joke at first — and that the community feedback would be heard — but nothing ever happened. Matchmaking is a disaster. Every second match I play is completely unbalanced. There’s no option to pick the attacking or defending side without disconnecting and reconnecting a dozen times until it finally puts me where I want to be. This problem used to be handled by server admins through the browser — they helped keep matches fair and balanced. And don’t even get me started on the challenges. They’re an absolute pain to complete. I honestly don’t know if they were designed by an AI or by someone who’s never actually played the game, but they’re a complete tragedy. The overall pace of the game is way too fast, leaving almost no time for proper teamplay, even when you actually try to play tactically with friends. The gameplay experience feels on par with BF2042 — but ironically, that game still had more freedom. I honestly get the feeling that the developers haven’t played this game for more than 20 minutes… or worse, that this is intentional — which would be really sad and could bury the entire franchise. What also really disappoints me is the complete lack of developer feedback here on the forums. I understand you can’t respond to every single post, but it would be basic respect to at least address some of the hot topics here. Right now the community feels unheard, like our frustration just keeps piling up and EA leadership simply doesn’t care. Maps, maps, maps… This topic has already been brought up several times — and yeah, I wouldn’t say the maps are terrible, but they are really, really small and focused entirely on running and shooting with no sense of tactics whatsoever. As for the bugs, I’m still patient for now. We’re only in the first season, and I know updates will come — bugs happen in every game at launch. That said, I did expect a bit more polish for a 100€ title, but I can still understand it… for now. To end on a more positive note — the graphics are absolutely beautiful. I just wish we could enjoy this amazing world with more freedom, playing the way players want to play, not the way we’re being forced to. Please, developers — take a little time to listen to what players here on the forums are saying and what’s frustrating them. Otherwise, this could genuinely bury the whole franchise. Thank you for your time.479Views30likes32CommentsExcessive Speed, Unrealistic Mechanics, and Loss of Tactical Arcade Identity
For the past three months, thousands of players in the Battlefield community have been expressing the same concern — the game is far too fast-paced. Despite countless requests to address the unrealistic “Spiderman-like” sliding and jumping mechanics, absolutely no changes have been made. At its core, Battlefield has always represented tactical arcade gameplay, a realistic combat atmosphere, and large-scale, strategic maps. However, Battlefield 6 has completely drifted away from these defining principles. The game no longer rewards tactical thinking, coordinated teamwork, or strategic progression — instead, it has devolved into a chaotic experience focused purely on reflex and randomness. It’s becoming clear that the development team continues to ignore the community’s feedback, prioritizing unnecessary cosmetics and flashy skins that actively damage the game’s identity. If real progress is to be made, that effort should be directed toward slowing down the overall game pace and expanding map design to restore depth and balance. The biggest issue with Battlefield 6 is that it has lost its tactical arcade essence. Rather than feeling like a true Battlefield experience, it now feels overly fast, unbalanced, and disconnected from what once made this franchise special. If this direction continues, further player loss is inevitable. As long-time fans who genuinely care about the series, we ask that you bring Battlefield back to its roots — tactical arcade gameplay, teamwork, and immersive warfare.Jungle Adventure world not showing???
I was playing the sims and wanted to do a jungle adventure (literally). When I was looking for a playable sim in the salvadora world, I noticed it isn't even in my world options and i do not have any of my packs uninstalled or hidden. Has anyone else noticed it is missing in their world selection menu?10Views0likes1CommentAA camping in spawn
We all know this has always happened since battlefield implemented mobile AA guns in BF4. Not only are they super OP with insane range, but they are protected in their spawn now. Just played a game where an enemy AA was in their spawn and when I tried to shoot at it with RPGs, my round would instantly blow up in the enemy spawn. So they cant even reach the AA. Protected by an invisible wall and too far back to reach with C4 in time. I tried several times with an attack helicopter but I'm not a professional. I wish more people cared about this. Battlefields balancing for air vehicles is absolutely terrible right now and is catering to the infantry players. Stingers and AA tanks have massive range. And the apache is a paper tiger. I dont understand why every conquest mode that has a helicopter also has to accompany an AA vehicle. This is why BF3 will always be superior.LGBTQIA+ Community for Bf6, Arc Raiders and more!
