Theres nothing to do?
Why keep asking for feedback when you’ve listened to nothing that literally EVERY player has been begging for for years? You can’t even progress at your own pace, you finish all the boring easy challenges and have to wait for them to refresh the next day! Into the same soulless boring challenges on repeat! No story mode, fine. Didn’t listen to what anyone wanted and gave us an AI bot instead of pros, fine. But where are the game modes? Where is hall of meat? Where is skate? Where are death races? Where are any of the online MODES? Where is the mega park at lesst? Also regarding customisation why can’t we even get jewellery, tattoos, decide how to wear hats & hoods etc. everything we had on old skate games. The actual gameplay and physics is great but EVERYTHING IS MISSING!! Sorry but we waited 15 years for this game, this feels unacceptable.Tix Change = NO NO NO NOOOOOO
Edit - At least make the Tix converted to a 1-1 for SVB, so the next seasom we can re-buy our tix back with the tix we grinded. Or, or just don't do this change at all. I am gonna make this abundantly clear and slightly short n' simple. I am gonna try to be calm and respectful. This change, should NOT go through. I have done every Tix challenge since release, and even gathered randoms and a friend EVERY WEEK for the OTL challenges the devs so strongly incentivised to be done with others, because they HATE solo players. I have OVERGRINDED the amount of Tix and even purchased some Tix prior to finishing the skate.pass, because of the PRIOR changes mentioned about TIX NOT FULLY being carried over season to season. Now... With the new changes announced, now I find out I WASTED ALL MY TIME AND SOME MONEY ON TIX THAT WON'T AT ALL BE CARRIED OVER?! WHAT?! WHY?! Who and What is making these decisions man? I LOVE this game and have TRIED my BEST to get people into it, because I LOVE skateboarding and I love skate. These changes man... As if the SVB greed wasn't enough, now we have 0 incentive to play anymore because Tix will go to waste. Please.. DO NOT go through with this change. I also still haven't gotten my 600 Tix refunded from the bug from the start of Season 2... in the photos attached to this forum post is my CURRENT Tix and such for proof. I am gonna be absolutely LIVID beyond belief if they all are going to waste. as a side note, YES I have also gotten ALL DIY and all boxes opened too. I only grind the Tix challenges because I have reached MAX everywhere else and got bored of grinding ripchips everyday. I login, do the dailies; get the free stuff from the store until tomorrow's challenges refresh, and then the weeklies an then monthlies reset. Rinse and Repeat.. Do ya'll devs hate us consistent players???
Are we witnessing the slow demise of Skate.?
I don't think there is any hiding from it, this game is a disappointment. 15 years of waiting for something that feels like it has been thought about for around 15 mins. The game lacks any soul, personality or expression that the previous games had. The recent Halloween themed areas were dismal. They weren’t fun to skate, felt completely unrealistic and lacked any real creativity. I’m sure there will be something similar at Christmas. The game is still riddled with bugs which is evident from the countless reports on this forum. The question is, where to we go from here? I have reached Level 10 in each zone about a month ago. My choices are, play the same challenges over and over again, or spend all my coins on some loot boxes that don’t interest me. Yes, there are a few good spots to session, and you can spend 10 mins in each, but the flow of each area you find, at least for me, doesn’t match the previous games. I think it is time a lay down the controller for a few months and have a look back in January to see if there have been any changes. Sorry Skate. I really did want to love this game, and I have given it a good go. I think it just falls so far short of where it could have been. I’m happy that WRC 2024 is a free download on this month’s PlayStation store, so I’ll be there for a while now.
PLEASE stop adding tasks that require party play
Season 2 is largely a step in the right direction for the game, but in the hour and a half since launch I've run into a glaring issue. Absolutey no one wants to do a challenge in a party and there are at least 2 new tasks which require co-op. I understand that the game is an MMO, so you want to encourage players to interact with each other. I don't have a problem with that and I always play in an open party anyways. It seems the vast majority of the playerbase wants to play the game completely alone. I have not had one person join my party today, despite the new OTL challenges and co-op tasks. I have joined 6 open parties that stated "In a challenge" for the player status, and every single one of them left the party or the game after completing their challenge. I believe the problem lies in how slow co-op challenges are. The 10 second startup timer and victory screen means completing challenges sometimes takes twice the amount of time. This has led many, including myself, to never want to do challenges in a party because the increased rewards aren't substantial enough for the time wasted. So please either streamline the co-op experience or just stop adding tasks requiring co-op.forced coop in Own the Lot
Will there be matchmaking for this mode ? I'm always playing alone and have no friends to play with, I find it really annoying to have to ask and wait on discord to play something in multiplayer when i see this : " You’ll be able to have groups of 1-4, but it’s definitely intended for at least two players, working to complete as many Reqs as possible within the time limit you set (2-5 minutes). The more Reqs you complete before the time expires, the higher your reward tier. " ; im really disapointed, why is it intended for multiple players, not everyone in the game wanna play in group, and we ain't a lot anymore in the game so i don't understand why you would force it like this. Its like some challenge being "coop only", just why ??
Bugged mission: Single Bridge Gap
Today's daily mission, the stunt mission "Single Bridge Gap" is bugged. I successfully caveman into the canal ramp, hit the flip trick, manual the bridge... and then it resets the attempt mid-air, before I land successfully on the Lily Pad. When it sends me back to the start, the "Hit the Lily Pad" goal will be circled, like I've hit it and it's waiting for me to finish a line. I've done it 3 times now in a single attempt and cannot complete the 5th objective "All the above in one attempt" because each time it resets my line while I'm mid air. This was not happening before the most recent update.
